Small animal services include, but are not limited to:
- yearly wellness exams
- vaccines
- physical exams for sick animals
- digital x-ray
- blood work
- gas anesthesia
- routine surgery
- advanced and laser surgery
- animal health and food products

Large animal services include, but are not limited to:
- chute work
- pregnancy exam
- lameness exam
- birthing assistance
- animal health products

Limited emergency small and large animal services are available for established clients.

As National Veterinary Technician Week comes to a close, we want to take the opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to each member of our staff.

Our veterinary clinic simply couldn't run without you. Each of you is an essential part of our team -- your hard work, your dedication, and compassion keep everything running.

But more than that, we recognize that you also play vital roles within your own homes, families, and communities. We are truly grateful that you choose to give your time and energy to our clinic. Your contribution means more than we can say.

Rene Johnson is the newest member of our tech team joining us after graduating this past spring from the veterinary technology program at Blackhawk College. She is a certified veterinary technician.
Rene's favorite areas of vet med include surgery and radiology. She also enjoys lab work.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her bunny, Valentine! Her hobbies include journaling, going to the gym, and spending time with family.
Rene has been a great addition to the team, and we are excited to have her on board.

Jordan Sells is a 2022 graduate of the veterinary technician program at Blackhawk College. She began her career at RVS as a student intern during her last semester at Blackhawk.
Jordan enjoys radiology, clinical pathology, and all things large animal. Her other areas of interest in veterinary medicine include nutrition and reproduction.
During her free time, Jordan enjoys gardening, spending time with her husband and their four children, and taking photos. She loves her cows, and she and her family dream of growing their cattle herd.
Jordan brings a lot of fun energy to the clinic, and we appreciate her passion. If you have enjoyed some of our seasonal pet patient photos that we've shared this year, Jordan has been instrumental in making those happen. THANK YOU, Jordan for all you do!

Today, our focus is technician Jessica Lehnhausen, who joined our team back in 2010 after finishing the vet tech program at Rockford Career College.
Jessie's favorite areas of vet med include dentistry, small and large animal nursing, as well as wound care.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, crocheting, gardening, and canning.
Jessica is the resident expert on all things health paper, and let's be honest, with her years of experience and knowledge, there's hardly a job in the clinic she can't do! Thanks, Jessie!!

Today, we shine a light on certified vet tech, Kala Haynes. Kala was the first credentialed technician at RVS and began her career with us in 2019. She is a graduate of the Blackhawk College vet tech program.
Kala's interests within veterinary medicine include surgery and anesthesia, phlebotomy, and large animal. She enjoys interacting with all the pets that visit RVS.
Outside of work, you will find Kala spending time with her husband, their son and daughter, and Labrador Retriever. She likes gardening, hanging out with their chickens, and listening to the Crime Junkies podcast.
We appreciate Kala's dedication to a high standard of care and for always keeping us organized, amongst many other things. THANK YOU!
