With the extreme cold we’re having, remember pet safety tips! ❄️🐾
•keep them inside! Potty breaks should be kept short… business should be done then right back inside.
•remember paw protection and monitor if their paws are too cold. Signs of this would be holding their paws up, moving slow, limping, whining.
•shivering is a clear sign they are too cold
•coats/jackets do help! Especially on our short haired friends… (pitties, Dalmatians, boxers, etc.)
•check your engines! Outdoor cats/small animals will gravitate toward heat. If you started your car before leaving, do a quick check that there isn’t a furry friend hiding from the cold under your hood.
•avoid having your pet around salt if you’re not sure if it’s pets safe and of course, antifreeze.
