Last night was a particularly active night for thieves, with someone leaving a generous donation of a bedroom set outside our facility, accompanied by numerous other items that were stolen. We understand that some of these posts may spark debate. While many individuals are understandably outraged that thieves would target a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing our community, others have expressed frustration with our decision to share videos of individuals allegedly in need. We would like to take this opportunity to explain our rationale for sharing photographs of individuals who appear to feel entitled to steal from our organization. As a nonprofit entity passionate about providing support to lost, neglected, abused, and unwanted animals, we rely heavily on the vital contributions generated by our Thrift Shop and the generosity of donors within our community. Although we wish individuals would refrain from leaving donations outside our facility when we are closed, it is not their responsibility to prevent theft. If anyone recognizes the vehicles or individuals depicted in these photographs, please notify us, as the authorities are working to identify these individuals and bring them to justice.

Delila is about 3-1/2 months old and is waiting for her forever family to come find her. She is a beautiful little tabby that is sure to bring love, fun and entertainment into someone’s life.

Precious is a five-year-old domestic shorthair who has been waiting for her forever home since
November. She is shy at first, but with patience and love, she will blossom into a wonderful companion, bringing joy to her special person.

We celebrated Amanda’s birthday on Saturday. Amanda has worked at our Thrift Shop for 15 years now. She is an animal lover and enjoys doing what she can to help take care of the dogs and cats at our Humane Society. If you see Amanda, be sure to wish her a happy belated birthday and thank her for being so loyal to the cause, truly an inspiration to us all.

You might recall Rosa, a true shelter triumph. She was recently adopted after growing up in our shelter. We thought you might enjoy seeing an update photo showing how happy she looks in her new home with her sibling.

Our hearts are full with happiness as our Rosa finally went home today. She has grown up in our shelter and has remained the sweetest girl ever. Thankfully, a family came through our kennel that didn’t just walk past but stopped and recognized Rosa’s potential. We know Rosa will blossom with the love she will receive from her new family.

Wilma is our young eight year old mixed shih tzu/poodle. Not only is she a sweetheart but she is such a character! NMDOG Thanks to our partner NMDOG and their amazing program NoColdDogs, we’ve been distributing free straw to people with animals in need of something to help keep their pets warm during these frigid temperatures. Unfortunately, many of these dogs do not have proper shelter from the elements. We have depleted our supply of dog houses and are counting on our generous community to donate dog houses. Used or new, they will be used. The need is especially dire for large breed dogs. We do have dog houses on our Amazon Wishlist that can be found on our website at roswellhumane.org. Thank you!

This resilient dog was one of two spotted by Sonic on N. Main recently. A compassionate individual picked him up and brought him to us. We remain hopeful someone will soon find his companion. Following a grooming session this morning by Micah with Pampered Paws, he’s experiencing a renewed sense of vitality and comfort. With 1.5 pounds of matted hair removed, his true tiny self has been revealed. Despite facing extreme neglect, his sweet nature remains intact. Stay tuned for more photos as his hair grows back.
