Small animal hospital with a family friendly setting looking for multiple positions. Looking for team players, positive attitudes, and people who want to learn the ins and outs of veterinary medicine.
Vet technician / vet assistant - This is a hands on position with the animals. Handling and restraining, running labs, performing procedures, and actively participating in the medical care of the animals. No prior experience necessary as training will be provided. This job is a physical job as you are on your feet for a good portion of the day and lifting and restraining animals. This job is about 32 to 35 hours per week. Some Saturdays are expected.
Receptionist - This position makes appointments and checks all patients in and out of the hospital. Need to have great people skills and the ability to juggle a basic medical lobby including answering phones, checking in and out patients and filling medications if necessary. No prior experience is needed as training will be provided. This job is about 32 hours per week. Some Saturdays are expected.
Kennel assistant - This is a hands on position with animals but very little exposure to the clients. Basic animal husbandry will be required including feeding, walking, medicating and cleaning cages. This position also helps with random tasks around the hospital.
This job is a great opportunity for those in school looking to go onto veterinary medicine later in life or someone who just enjoys being around cats and dogs. This job varies in hours per week depending on applicants availability.
Afternoon, weekend, and morning positions are all available.
