RECALL ALERT - Carolina Prime Pet, Inc. of Lenoir, NC, is recalling 400 16-ounce bags of "Hollywood Feed Carolina Made Chicken Chips" treats for dogs because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

The recalled "Hollywood Feed Carolina Made Chicken Chips" were distributed to Hollywood Feed stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas, and were also available through online retailer www.hollywoodfeed.com.

The product comes in a 16-ounce purple-and-black bag marked on the back side with lot number 20051324L2 and an expiration date of 11/13/25. This is the only lot number identified as potentially contaminated. More: https://bit.ly/3YZrx8i

*HURRICANE MILTON INFORMATION*

We have boarding space available for dogs and cats!

We know many local family homes already have pets that may not be friendly to visitors and most hotels do not accept pets - which is a concern for those evacuating north from Florida with their furry loved ones.

We do require the following vaccines in order to keep your animals here:

Dogs: Rabies, DHPP, KCV (Bordetella), F***l (Intestinal Parasite) Exam, Occult Heartworm Test

Cats: Rabies, FDVRCP, F***l (Intestinal Parasite) Exam

If the evacuee doesn’t have paperwork with them, we ask for a clinic/hospital name we can attempt to contact to get updated pet information.
