Friends of Rio Pecos Kennel Club

I want to first thank everyone who came in willing to help us, help others with this disaster our community has recently experienced. What an incredible job our members, families and friends have done to bring Aid to those who have lost their homes, jobs and stability.
We of course focused on the families who also have dogs and shelters who accept evacuees with dogs, cats and even small exotic animals (ie Guinea Pigs)

Shelters around Roswell communities have been well stocked of supplies for these evacuees largely in part of what everyone did to help our club make that a possibility.

While there are a few evacuees who will probably have to rebuild their homes in Ruidoso or choose to stay in Roswell, the vast majority have been allowed to return to their home and community. We still have plenty of supplies available to help those who will be staying behind. We have recently received Amazon and Chewy packages and will be added to our inventory of donations with our thanks.

For further donations we ask that you donate directly to Lincoln County Humane Society because we are expecting them to be overwhelmed with the amount of stray dogs and cats that will most likely be picked up.

Thank you everyone for your donations and we’ve been keeping the shelters and individuals stocked on animal supplies (literally everything), but this will be a long haul journey, items will run short by the end of The Weekend. We have some incredible out of town friends coming on Saturday with more donations to help out.

We are recently running into a new need of cleaning supplies (odoban, bleach etc) to help clean up after the dogs in the shelters due to the stress and immediate change in food, which I’m sure you know is an unavoidable situation.
