Luna's surgery is expected to cost 💢$6500💢
Luna has a condition called PDA, Patent Ductus Arteriosus. She has a large hole in her heart. Luna was born with this defect.
Because of the defect, Luna's blood can't circulate normally, and her heart has to work harder than normal.
Surgery can correct this defect and give Luna a chance at a normal life.
Luna's surgery date is pending as she needs to stay on her medication protocol until than. We will make sure to keep everyone updated on this.

🐾♥️Can you believe Maggie is still available for adoption??? please share so we can find Maggie her forever home.
We knew she had secrets but holy Crown Jewels, we were not expecting this! We knew she had hip issues, and hoped they were just from age and poor living conditions. We were wrong. Our vet has confirmed that at some point prior to rescue, Mags was hit by a car! She was living in constant pain. Thankfully Maggie had hip surgery and is recovering well. Maggie is thriving in physical therapy and is ready to find her forever home!!!
Our Maggie is a gentle soul who yearns to find a forever home with a soft couch for quiet snuggles, a yard for rolling and frolicking, and maybe a sibling, similar in size and activity level. A mouthy player, Maggie would prefer human siblings old enough to understand the difference between mouthing and biting and help train her accordingly (we want to make sure her mouthiness is poor social skills and not a gentle reminder from her to play easier - more to come on this). At 4 years young, she’s still got that puppy feeling and loves learning new stuff.
**Maggie would do best with another male dog, or as the only dog in the home.**

Housebroken and well mannered, content taking a few good strolls around with their human.She does not require vigorous exercise as younger dogs do. Teska would make a great friend to someone working from home, or who may live alone. Teska will make a wonderful companion to a home with NO other dogs.

She’s no Jones, that’s for sure. With only the 237 and something thousandth most common last name in Germany (so not common at all) for a first name, Teska herself, thankfully, is rather basic. True to all the GSD lore, she wants to be with her humans 24x7, including playing bedside rug at night. She knows basic commands, but don’t even think of trying to rush her preferred leisurely walking pace. At 6 years young, she would prefer to remain an only pup. Her origin story is a mystery, but it doesn’t seem to have been filled with love, as she tends to cower when approached, is fearful of loud beeps (like that awful smoke detector dead battery beep or the microwave, but honestly, can you blame her - they’re horrible), and shows some resource guarding. Cats and other small animals are a definite no, as are small children. Given her age and unknown prior history, late teens and up would be the best fit, but her ultimate fit would be with homebodies or retirees. Teska is starting heartworm treatment soon, and will be available for foster/adoption.
