We have cats at the Roswell PetSmart location that have been saved from living outdoors, from high kill shelters, and from families that can no longer care for them. Adoption events are held every Saturday at the Roswell PetSmart from 1pm to 5pm. Additional adoption times can be made by appointment only. For Rainbow Bridge Memorial Day we bring you two great double adoptions! Orca & Seal’s new family had recently said goodbye to their family cat after 18 years and found this wonderful pair! And, after losing her kitty in October, this adopter has been visiting periodically over the last few months searching for a purrfect pair and (as you can tell by the kitty kisses and smiles) Frick & Frack fit the bill!

Rainbow Bridge Memorial Day is a great time to remember and honor the furry companions who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and are no longer physically in your life. We will always remember those pets who have made a lasting impact on our lives that we miss so very dearly and will cherish their memories furrever in our hearts.

There is no better way to remember the special bond with your precious pet than by donating to All About Cats Rescue. It’s a wonderful way to remember them while, in turn, helping homeless cats and kittens in our organization find their loving homes.

One of our newer kittens basks in the TLC while at the vet today! This kitten is a direct beneficiary of the care that All About Cats puts towards our cats and kittens. Most of the time the costs of our vetting exceeds the adoption fees which is why we depend on the kindness of our community to help out. You can help out today by donating to the Clear the Shelters campaign or directly to the rescue (see the links in the comments below or in our bio thru Linktree).

While we know that everyone can’t go today, it’s an excellent day to mark your calendar to schedule that appointment. As we all know, every cat should go to their vet once a year.

Today is National Take Your Cat to the Vet Day and the purrfect opportunity to remind us to schedule an annual wellness exam. From early detection of disease to a better sense of health baselines, these annual vet checkups can reveal health issues while they’re still easily treatable. Regular wellness exams play a vital role in ensuring your cat is as healthy as possible and living out their best life! When was the last time you took your cat to the vet, please make sure to schedule your cat’s annual wellness exam.

Our black cats have all gathered together to help celebrate National Black Cat Appreciation Day! They want to share some interesting facts about black cats to help you better understand why being owned by a miniature panther is pawsome!

As the age-old saying goes, if you cross paths with a black cat, you should stop and take the time to pet the cat! Consider yourself fortunate and lucky to be in the presence of such a magnificent beast! We would love to see your black cats so please feel free to share a photo of your house panther in the comments below and tell us what you appreciate most about them!

I don’t often turn off my kitten energy to give everyone a great look at my whiskers, but when I do it is for a good cause like Clear The Shelters adoption event where I hope to find my furrever home! -Tashi, most interesting cat at the rescue.

It’s hard to believe this year is more than halfway over and we are pleased to report our rescue adopted 151 cats and kittens so far in 2024! These lucky kitties are currently enjoying their furrever homes and we hope to further increase our adoptions as the year progresses. Happy tails times two going out to the beautiful families pictured here who adopted Mozart & Figaro and Florence & Susanna.

These happy families were wise to adopt their kittens in pairs and we know they are set up on the right paw for success with their new feline family members. Research from many leading animal behavior experts shows that kittens do best in home environments with other cats or kittens. It helps them be more socialized and better behaved and less likely to exhibit destructive behavior because they are bored. If you have an older cat, you may want to think about getting two younger kittens who will be able to match each other’s energy levels; otherwise, you may annoy an older cat who is unable to keep up with the crazy antics of a younger kitten.

Today is one of the best days of the year - International Cat Day! Can you taste the rainbow of all the different types of cats that rule this world?! -Skittles.

Thank you sweet Skittles for representing this special holiday! We know you can taste the rainbow of colors. And we are also aware that International Cat Day is really every day of the year!

Meet Skittles is a curious and playful little boy born on 4/16/24. He’s inquisitive about his environment, always wanting to know how things work! Skittles engages well with people and likely will with other pets and children. He enjoys attention and head scratches. Skittles likes to say hi to you when he greets you. He’s also quite the athlete jumping super high and running fast to catch his toys or siblings. He can always settle down easily and take a nap. The perfect combo of energy and chill that fits in with any household. He enjoys watching birds and looking at the outside world through the windows. Well said, Atticus! We believe everyone should have the opportunity to be owned by a precious little tiger like you!

Meet Atticus, a handsome tan and black tabby born on 5/1/2023. He and his sister were abandoned at an auto shop with their mother. Though initially terrified from trauma, he has come around very quickly and enjoys human companionship. And what a handsome guy! He is a very intelligent cat. Atticus loves to play and one of his favorite activities is to take his toys from his toybox looking for the one that best suits his play mood. He will toss them up in the air and chase them around for entertainment. Atticus will rub on his foster’s legs and sit next to him on the sofa purring to show he wants attention. Sometimes he might even give a little swat for more attention, but it’s not in a mean way. Atticus does not like being in a cage at PetSmart and gets fearful and defensive when he is there. He came around quickly in his foster home and everyone who met Atticus fell in love with him. Please give this beautiful, sweet boy some love and a forever home. We want to thank everyone who stopped by the adoption center during PetSmart’s National Adoption Week. We are so proud to report that 16 lucky kitties found their furrever homes this past week! There were so many great adoptions and so many smiling happy families. Here are some of our lucky kitties (Mabel, Lucca, Gelato, and Trouble) who found wonderful furrever homes! We wish everyone a very Happy Tails!

Meet Abba is a very sweet beautiful Torbie born on 6/8/2020. She is still on the shy side but once she knows that she’s safe with you, she turns into an absolute love bug. She enjoys rubbing her head against her humans and even gives hand kisses. Abba also loves chin pets and head rubs. Because Abba is still learning to trust humans, we think she would do better in a quieter household without young kids. Ideally, her forever humans would work from home as she would make a fabulous desk or office companion. She’s one sweet girl who needs someone to give her a chance, time, and grace to get comfy. I may not be ready for Monday, so I decided the best thing to do is just take a big long nap. Luckily I have the fluffiest of beds! -Twiggy.

Twiggy is super excited for the start of the July National Adoption Week (July 15-21)! She knows that with all the national attention being paid to the need to adopt, our available cats and kittens should be front and center. Twiggy has graciously volunteered to kick off PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week! She has it on good authority that the purrfect home for her, and so many of her feline furriends is out there.

Yes, Twiggy, we, too, hope that all your wishes come true and that we will find great loving homes for all our available kitties. We were excited to see these kitties head off over the holiday weekend to their furrever homes! Mandarin found a wonderful home and Koala and Panda were able to find a loving family where both of them will be cherished members of that family together! These precious bonded kittens (Banks & Zeno) are taking a some time out of one of their many daily naps to remind you that today is National Kitten Day! It’s their special day and they certainly are not kitten around that they were born for this national holiday!

National Kitten Day celebrates kittens and highlights the plight of those that are homeless in an effort to save as many as possible through adoption. If you don’t have a kitten to enjoy, please check our available kitties listed on our website. We will list our kittens as they become available once they have been spayed and neutered by our veterinarian. Coco & Kiki are beautiful grey and black tabby sisters born on 4/2/2021. They came to our rescue as their family went through a divorce and had to move away. These sisters have a tight bond and do everything together. They are a sweet and playful pair and certified lap kitties. Their ideal home is one without other animals. Thank you for awarding All About Cats Inc. (ga924), a Kia Pet Adoption Grant! Coco & Kiki are beneficiaries of this grant which allows us to reduce their adoption fee. We were awarded this grant to encourage pair adoptions because two is almost always better than one! These two great sisters have been with us for a long time and are well-deserving of finding that purrfect home! The companionship two cats can provide helps minimize future behavior problems stemming from boredom, loneliness, or separation anxiety. Cats learn social behavior from each other and feel a sense of security when they have a feline friend helping them be more comfortable in their new home. By adopting two cats instead of one cat with help from the Kia grant, we are doubling the lives being saved. Thanks again Petfinder Foundation

In addition to being Kitten Season, May is also Graduation time! We are so happy for all these wonderful cats and kittens and know that they will make their new homes truly wonderful places bringing lots of joy along with them! This time of year is about shining light into the darkest of places, and what better way to do that than by caring for one another and bringing joy to others. These kittens and cats know how to do just that, and they're all looking for their purrever homes! While kitten season is in full swing, we need your help more than ever. Every time one of the cats or kittens in our care gets adopted, it allows us the space to take in additional cats and kittens. We want to introduce you to two female cats we've had with our rescue since last summer. Meet Cassidy and Mama Rue! Both of these sweet ladies were initially found as outdoor kitties. As soon as we realized they could be domesticated, we brought them into a foster's home, and they have been spoiled and loved so well these last several months. Both ladies have come a long way in their trust of humans, and although they aren't biologically related, they have formed a precious bond with each other and they need to be adopted together. The ideal home for these sweet girls would be a quiet home with either no children or calm children. They have met lots of different families during their stay at Petsmart, and they love receiving pets and playing with the laser. Happy Thursday, everyone! Caturday is almost here! Tonight we're featuring Dahlia who has been with our rescue the longest. Dahlia came to our rescue in May of last year, and she's still waiting on her purrever family. Dahlia came to us as a mama kitty, and she was the best mom to her kittens. She kept them safe before our rescue heard about them and took them in. All of her babies have found great homes, and we're looking forward to the day that she gets her happily purrever after. Dahlia would do best in a quiet, calm home where she can be the queen of your castle. Once she understands that you are safe and can be trusted, she'll be your best friend. She does well with other calm, sweet cats after a slow introduction. She has so much love to give, and she deserves a loving home with a kind family. Neptune would also like to wish all of you a Happy Valentine's Day! She is a beautiful brown tabby with pretty green eyes, and is one super sweet kitty. Like most cats, she can be shy at first but once she warms up to you, she has a very “dog-like” personality. Neptune is incredibly easygoing and sometimes will enjoy a belly rub! Her favorite is face pets, and she will come to her humans and give a head boop to ask for pets. Just watch the video to get a taste of how sweet this girl is and her precious her purrs are!
