All About Cats Rescue & Adoption A 501(c)(3) non-profit in Roswell, GA saving the lives of homeless cats & kittens in our community. Our mission is to save and improve the lives of cats.

We have cats at the Roswell PetSmart location that have been saved from living outdoors, from high kill shelters, and from families that can no longer care for them. Adoption events are held every Saturday at the Roswell PetSmart from 1pm to 5pm. Additional adoption times can be made by appointment only. I’m showing off how easy it is to make a great cat loaf and for a good cause! Knowing how to cat loaf is a vital skill, just as learning how to cook and my rescue is holding a cooking event fundraiser coming soon. -Taima

That’s right, Taima. While we aren’t going to make your favorite cat food, people will learn to make a gourmet meal (listed below) and have some fun with other cat-loving furriends! Don’t worry about your level of cooking expertise, master chefs will guide us through every step.

While learning to cook with creativity, you will also help us raise critical funds for the feline friends in our resue! The event will include a silent auction with some PAWSOME gift baskets, including a Tiffany champagne basket, Martini & Margarita baskets, and unique a “spirited” experience-themed item!

Join us for the cooking for cats event on Saturday, March 22 from 2 pm to 5 pm at A&S Culinary Concepts located at 9945 Jones Bridge Road, Ste 303. Johns Creek, GA 30022. Cost is $150 per ticket. To purchase your ticket, scan the QR code on this image or visit the events page on our website (link in bio). Advanced ticket purchase is required by March 14. No walk-ins or ticket sales at the door.

We are sharing some of our long term resident shelter cats that have been with our rescue a long time. While we want to be a safe place for cats that need care and chance at a good life, no cat should have to spend this long in a foster situation! Please consider adopting our long term resident cats, or if you are unable to adopt, please share these cats with your friends and family to help increase their exposure to potential adopters and hopefully help find their furrever home very soon!

We provide veterinary care and supplies like food/treat/litter/toys for the cats and kittens in foster care. These costs add up over time so if you are unable to adopt, a donation is always welcome! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please visit the volunteer pages of our website to learn more about the volunteer opportunities available with our rescue and fill out an application if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.

This is Charity, a young pregnant cat surrendered to animal control. At only 6 months old, she was a young mother having her first litter of kittens! She had four healthy kittens (all adopted), but as just a kitten herself, she illustrates the importance of spaying and neutering your pets! Mother cats and kittens are a sweet sight but did you know that the average unaltered adult female cat can have up to 12 kittens in a year? The math is staggering as 1 female cat could potentially have up to 180 kittens during her lifespan! Even female kittens as young as 4 months can have their own litter of kittens. If you think about it, these numbers can get astronomical very quickly!

Today is World Spay Day, a time to talk about the importance of fixing your pets. The harsh reality is that according to the ASPCA, nearly 1 million cats and dogs were euthanized in the US in 2024. Many of these were healthy and could have been adopted into new homes. This number could be greatly reduced if we eliminate unplanned litters that could have been prevented by spaying or neutering our animals. There are many benefits to sterilizing your pets such as fewer aggression issues, spraying, less roaming, fighting, and moodiness. Plus it can reduce the incidence of some of the most common types of cat and dog cancers.

All cats and kittens that come to our rescue are spayed and neutered prior to adoption. The costs associated with cat sterilization are one of our highest expenses. If you would like to help us reach our goals by making a donation here to support this worthy cause, we would appreciate it. If your pets are already fixed then we want to thank you for helping control the animal overpopulation. Please help spread the word to your family, neighbors, and friends by encouraging them to have their animals sterilized. We can make a difference together because animal rescue takes a village.

Meet Sugar, a sweet fluffy girl born on 12/19/2017 who came to us from a local cat colony. She’s come out of her shell with the help of a loving foster family. It’s me, Rolo, and I’m your inspired chef here to tantalize your tastebuds with a very special chef-led event called “Cooking for Cats”. I won’t be doing the cooking but I will be there in spirit, purring you on! -Rolo.

While no cats will be at the cooking event, hopefully Rolo has motivated you to check out our upcoming in-person fundraiser on Saturday, March 22 from 2 pm to 5 pm. We will be making a gourmet meal from appetizers to entrees to desserts with the incredible chefs in the commercial kitchen at A&S Culinary Concepts located at 9945 Jones Bridge Road, Ste 303. Near the top of every child’s wish list is a teddy bear! And when this family met with Teddy Bear at the adoption center inside the Roswell PetSmart, well, dreams were destined to come true! Just look at these smiling faces as they welcome a very special Teddy Bear into their family!

Tebby Bear is a gentle soul who is always purring. His relaxed and friendly nature melted his new family’s hearts instantly. Nemo is a cat who loves to cuddle and curl up in your lap! He is such a loving companion. We love all cats, but there is something extra special in those that are affectionate with their owners and will snuggle next to them seeking attention and settle in for a peaceful nap.

Meet Nemo is a gorgeous one and a half year old boy who has a very interesting personality – he has sooo much love to give and is looking for the perfect furever home to make his own. Because he can be a little “spicy”, he is best suited to be the only cat in the household. He is very energetic, playful and “chatty” when he greets you. He loves to play with ‘da bird’ and jumps incredibly high, so best with older kids. Loves to cuddle on a blanket and curl up in your lap when you watch TV. His foster says he is very intelligent, and can be coerced with squeezeable treats. Beautiful dark gray coat with greenish eyes – just a really handsome boy! Fully vetted, vaxed, neutered and chipped and will make a great companion kitty for the right person who will give him the attention he loves. We love that Julian is a cat who is fond of giving headbonks! A cat head bonk is when a cat bumps its head into another object or person. This behavior is also known as “bunting” where they are leaving behind pheromones secreted from cheek glands, marking you as theirs. It is so heartwarming when to be the recipient of a wonderful heabonk!

Meet Julian, formerly Diego, who has a pirate spirit! With wide golden eyes like his mama, he bounds across the room like a swashbuckler. Jules is the friendliest of the brood and is becoming quite the lap kitty. He’s known for giving head butts and nose boops to the phone, as he’s been filmed since birth. Meet Taima, a beautiful female grey tabby born on 5/30/23. This sweet former mama kitty loves humans and is very vocal. She can be a bit nervous when meeting new people or being in a new place but she warms up quickly with some encouragement and she is happy being held once she gets to know you. Taima enjoys pets, head boops, comfy spots, and wet food. She enjoys her own space and would love to be an only pet. When it comes to fashion, black and white never goes out of style, and we can say the same is true for our handsome, debonair and delectable Oreo.

Today is Tuxedo Cat Appreciation Day! Tuxedo cats are loving, attractive and intelligent cats that make wonderful companions and are so worthy to be considered to be a part of your family.

Oreo was rescued from Bartow County Animal Shelter. He came with his brother, Rollo. Oreo is dressed in tux and tails ready for the next party he can attend. He is outgoing and loves to play with his brother and his toys. He is a brave heart. He does the investigating and clears the path for him and Rollo. Oreo loves to be petted and loved on. He loves to play with his toys and is very curious and wants to interact with humans. Oreo loves to have his neck and back scratched. He has not been exposed to dogs or other cats; however, he is outgoing and brave and will make a wonderful addition to his furever family. His current environment is quiet. Meet Binx, a tall and sleek solid black boy with silky fur and striking green eyes. He was rescued from Cobb County animal shelter and has come a long way. He has learned to love affection from humans and will rub against your legs and purr. Sweet with an occasional touch of sass, he will let you know if he’s maxed out on attention. Binx loves to play with toys and sometimes gets so into playtime that he will swish his tail back and forth. A home with adults only or cat savvy older children and no other pets would be most ideal for Binx. Give this sweet boy a chance and he will steal your heart!

We wish that, too, Lilibet! But we humans have to get up eventually and do productive things like going to work. We wish we could sit with feline paralysis all day but someone has to bring home the bacon to pay for your food and toys.

Lilibet, affectionately known as Lili or LeeLee, is a young mother who chose the safest spot in a trash pile from a home remodel to have her babies. This sweet family has no fear of dogs, as they were found right below the backyard fence where the dogs bark at any ‘danger.’ Lili is very sweet, playful, and curious. This is Lucky, a young cat who showed up at the foster family’s house pregnant and delivered 5 healthy kittens. She has an extremely mellow personality and loves being with people. Lucky likes attention but does not demand it. She usually greets you with a gentle purr. She likes to look out the windows at birds, when she is not tending to her kittens. She likes to sit on your lap for her evening nap. Her foster home is a busy environment, so she is used to lots of activity, but usually sleeps through it. Since she is a very social cat, she likes to follow you around. She seems to have a go with the flow attitude and is very quiet and content. Kitty cat snow day at Petsmart!

Just like you, our cats and kittens made New Year’s Resolutions. (Some are broken already). They wanted to share them with you but then decided to just serenade you with their rendition of purrfect New Year’s Resolutions. These are great resolutions and they are also recommending that you resolve to come to adoptions this weekend and consider adding a new cat to your family! Come see us at Petsmart next to Trader Joes in north Roswell to support our cat rescue today! We're also doing adoptions inside Petsmart this afternoon as well! Don't forget to support us this coming Tuesday for Giving Tuesday!

We had to take a quick moment to share sweet Apollo with you. He's been in the cat room at Petsmart for a couple weeks, and he's finally coming out of his shell. This catnip toy is his favorite! Here's a video of him playing fetch and jumping in and out of his cage. Help us to stop the continual overpopulation problem - spay or neuter your pets! This is one way to alleviate the over crowded shelters. There are many low cost clinics that can help! In addition, ask your vet about CARE credit if you need to pay for an expensive procedure or meds for your pet. And, always get a second opinion. Euthanasia should not be the answer.

Our black cats have all gathered together to help celebrate National Black Cat Appreciation Day! They want to share some interesting facts about black cats to help you better understand why being owned by a miniature panther is pawsome! As the age-old saying goes, if you cross paths with a black cat, you should stop and take the time to pet the cat! Consider yourself fortunate and lucky to be in the presence of such a magnificent beast! We would love to see your black cats so please feel free to share a photo of your house panther in the comments below and tell us what you appreciate most about them! And if you don’t have a black cat, well you are in luck because all of the mini panthers featured in this slideshow are available for adoption! In addition to being Kitten Season, May is also Graduation time!
