Dear Santa,

I am sending you my Christmas letter, as you can see I’m still here - waiting for an adopting family. I’ve photoshopped a tree into my condo here, so you can see that I am in the Christmas spirit, even though I am kinda sad and still a little shy. I’d like to see some loving families come by and to have one of them find me to be a purrfect match for their home! I bring so much to the table! Thanks! -Della.

Thanks, Della! That’s a great Christmas wish. We will see if an Elf will get your wish hand delivered to Santa! And you are right, there is still Christmas trees and lights everywhere - the spirit of Christmas is captured purrfectly!

Dear Santa! I’d like for of one of my 3 Christmas wishes to be that I can wish everyone Happy Pawlidays! I hope that this season is terrific for everyone and that there is peace on Earth and goodwill to men. And of course, all the cats (and we can include some dogs, too). Another wish - and it’s a biggie - is a wonderful loving home for me and my bestie, Charlie! I can also use a couple of new wand toys and mouse toys to play fetch with! -Milo.

That’s so sweet of you, Milo! We will make sure everyone - including Santa knows! We, too, are hopeful that your Christmas wish of a home for you and Charlie happens really soon!

Dearest Santa Paws, I’m really looking forward to Christmas this year! I think it’s pawsatively happy that you take time to read letters from little kittens like me! I am enjoying adventuring and I promise I haven’t peeked at any of the presents already under the tree. That one with the corner clawed off, it wasn’t me - it was already like that! For my Christmas wish, I’d of course like my furrever home to come with a purrfect family, but I’d also like your Christmas miracle for some of the older adult pairs and they’d find a loving home, too! -Friday.

We appreciate all the donations that we have received for Giving Tuesday which allows our rescue to help more homeless kitties like Garfield. If you have not already made your donation, there’s still time (donation link is in the comments below).

We would like to showcase the story of Garfield and how your donation to All About Cats during events like Giving Tuesday can literally help our rescue transform lives. Garfield came to us along with Otis (our Giving Tuesday Spokesmeowdel) and his littermates. Tiny, scrawny little helpless kittens at a kill shelter who were rescued in the nick of time! As you can see here, Garfield blossomed under the love and care of the wonderful volunteers at our rescue and you can see the progression in this picture montage of how he grew into a wonderful kitten who (in the last photo) found a super loving home!

Hello furriends! I woke up this morning with an amazing sense of gratitude that so many animal lovers care about homeless kitties in our rescue and they are showing their appreciation with their donations! -Otis

That’s right Otis! We love your choice of sweaters today, even though we know you probably grimace because boys don’t want to wear pink but we admire you for being a good sport!

Today is special because it is Giving Tuesday. It’s the start of the gift-giving season and a great time of year for animal lovers to come together to harness the giving power of generosity to help the causes that mean the most. We really appreciate all the donations that we have received so far for Giving Tuesday which will allow our rescue to help more homeless kitties like Otis and his siblings and if you have not already made your donation, there’s still time!

This year your Giving Tuesday donation will have double the impact in saving more lives! We are pleased to let you know that an anonymous donor will match 100% of Giving Tuesday donations up to a total of $2,000. On Thanksgiving Day we purr for you,
In thanks for everything you do.
You give us yummy food to keep us alive,
And send us to the vet to make sure we thrive.
You give us warm cozy beds,
Or cardboard boxes instead,
And the toys we use to play,
And keyboards where we lay.
When you open the door to your guests to greet,
We will be sure to run between your feet.
As you feast on the fancy Thanksgiving Dish,
We will enjoy these treats made out of fish.
After you eat we will curl by your side,
As you watch the parade go by.
At the end of the day we wish that you knew just how very much we all love you!

As we approach Thanksgiving, I have a question to ask. Tell me in the comments below what you are grateful for this year? Me? So glad you asked! I am grateful that even though I was surrendered by my owner to a kill shelter, luckily for me I was rescued and my kittens were born a few days later! I have an excellent crew of cat-loving volunteers who are looking to find my purrfect furrever home! I am hoping to find my new family just in time for the pawlidays. Could that be you? I’m also grateful for all the little things: like a warm bed, great food, and a good cat tree to watch the birds and squirrels outside. Above all else, I enjoy chin scratches and spending time with my humans. - Charity

We had to take a quick moment to share sweet Apollo with you. He's been in the cat room at Petsmart for a couple weeks, and he's finally coming out of his shell. This catnip toy is his favorite!

Here's a video of him playing fetch and jumping in and out of his cage. He'd be a great addition to a home with gentle cats and older children.

Meet Phineas, a handsome grey domestic shorthair born on 6/18/24. He is the first to greet you at the door with his affectionate nature. He loves playing with his siblings and even offers toys to the dogs by batting them under the door. Phineas is always purring when you’re around and enjoys weaving through the dogs’ legs and cuddling with them after playtime. Help us to stop the continual overpopulation problem - spay or neuter your pets! This is one way to alleviate the over crowded shelters. There are many low cost clinics that can help! In addition, ask your vet about CARE credit if you need to pay for an expensive procedure or meds for your pet. And, always get a second opinion. Euthanasia should not be the answer.
