It was a nice day today with all our Polish friends at the Polish Specialty Summer Picnic. Our rabbits held their own as we continue to aim for competitive open rabbits.

Great weekend with old friends, and made some new! Makaraena held their own, for our second show since moving up to open! 2 rabbits in the top 10, one in placements, and one- one placement away from placing. We also decided to pull Neptune out of retirement to proudly represent Makaraena as resident old man, and even out of coat and condition, he was in the placings! Super proud of our show team this weekend! Thank you to all who helped and supported us, and congratulations to all the winners! 🥳

Blue senior Polish buck. Very busy boy. Very nice thick open ear, and love his peak. Good width for depth. Slow start due to a longer shoulder. Beautiful color! NSR and Jills/Cotters lines.

We have a couple of young black Polish available:

Makaraenas Absolute Zero (Kelvin) is a jr black buck out of Ratzel/Mageles Kamikaze and Makaraenas Arctic. Sweet boy, lovely head, eye and ear, decent width but could use a little more depth.

Makaraenas Hover is a just sr black doe. Is on the smaller side. Out of Makaraenas Neptune (10 legs) and Northern Stars Pisces. Lovely front, and ear set. Head mount is a little high.

Oogling this boy a bit as he turns senior. Sadly he broke his leg as a baby and can't be shown, but looking forward to using him in the barn.

Great day with friends, and showing bunnies in Marshfield. Most of our herd is out of show condition with molting and season changes, but we did ok! We will see everyone next year in open, as Madi ages out of youth in January!

Fun day with old friends and new at the Fond du Lac show! Kaylie showed her cavies and mini rex, while Madi took her first crack at a couple open classes with Mini Rex and Satin, along with her Youth Polish. Running around I forgot to get photos until after they had taken the photo booth down. Madi also collected her 2nd place sweepstakes award for the year (photos to come)! And packing the car was again a game of tetris! 🤦‍♀️
