Hello Quail Roost friends and family!

Lately we have seen an increase in the number of sick cases needing to be seen same day. We know you all love your pets and want the best for them, but this is a reminder that we are a single doctor practice and can only do so much in one day. Here are a few things to keep in mind when calling for your sick pet:

1. We will always prioritize current active patients over non client work ins for the day. This means that the pets must have been seen here within the last 12 months.

2. Please don't wait until your pet has been ill for several days before calling for an appointment. Also, please call first thing in the morning when you may need to be seen that day. If you wait until 3pm, our limited options for the day become even more limited. We also can not give advice over the phone for illnesses, especially in pets we have not seen.

3. While we will try to see sick pets in a timely manner, sometimes we may recommend your pet go to UrgentVet or Triangle Veterinary Referral Hospital instead. When we recommend these options, it is because we likely cannot accommodate another sick pet immediately and your pet's symptoms seem urgent.

4. DO NOT under any circumstances abuse the staff member answering your call. We are honestly trying to do as much as we can each day, abusive behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Please be on the lookout for Ruby. Lost near Bowen Rd/Red Mtn Rd in Rougemont this evening. She is a Rhodesian Ridgeback, red with some Grey on her face and a cowlick down her back. She weighs approximately 100 pounds and may be timid. If you see her please call the office or email us [email protected]
