Hello everyone from Laurie and Laureen at Toyland.
Here at Toyland, we have been raising our Falabellas for over 37 years. We have 25 acres of land. We have close to 60 head of Falabellas. Our farm is sectioned into 7 beautiful pastures and separate mare families that get turned out every day on sunny breezy acres of grass and come in every night to a safe and content group environment. Our Stallions are separated with a large lean too insulated and bedded deep in straw along with a large turnout. The Stallions have pasture rotation and most Stallions are either next to friend Stallions or groups of mares for fun and flirting!
During the coldest winter days, we keep our mare groups cozy in large pole barns bedded deep in straw. They are free to come and go as they please. They have multiple areas for exercise and full freedom. We never confine our horses, unless they actually want to be confined! We actually have a few that insist on coming into their stall every night and then insist on turn out in the morning with their friend group. Those little stinkers!
Most of our mares were born and raised here at Toyland. We have a couple mares rounding age 30, they are all quite cherished and special. We have found the key to happiness for the horses is by allowing them to make the rules around here, not the humans!! The horses tell you what they want in their actions and many other ways. It is just amazing!
Let it be known that every single day my family is allowed the pleasure of spending time with our treasured Falabellas is a joy! Every day we have the pleasure of kissing them on the muzzle, petting them as they close their eyes and breathe softly, as we whisper sweet nothings in their ears. They are loved! And they show their love back to us. for this, we are truly blessed. Every day is therapeutic time, for both horse and human, so peaceful. It is a beautiful situation over here.
We want to share our knowledge with those good people out there that have questions about anything regarding Minis. Take this opportunity and learn from our knowledge. Thanks for reading about our farm. here is a video of 2 mares groups running the run! ENJOY!
