Goodbye is the goal.

Sometimes I even have to remind myself of that.

Chomps came into my life when he needed me as much as I needed him. Over the last four months, we worked on healing in tandem. We both had days of pain and bad attitudes with the treatments we were given, but we both persevered. Switching from high volume fostering to more specialized “boutique” fostering means that the bond created between foster kittens and me is strong. Couple that with going through a major life change and making the goal goodbye and it’s enough to break the heart again. As I keep fostering these amazing, one-of-kind kittens who I deeply bond with, I try to remember that my time will come where I get to say, “forever here is the goal.” For now, I can breathe easier knowing that an amazing couple get to utter those words and enjoy an equally rewarding bond with this extra special boy. Bon voyage, Chomps ♥️.

Barnacle (fka James) needs our help! This sweet boy has stomatitis and needs some major dental work. This is something we suspected when he was recovering from FIP, but his conditioned has worsened. Can you help send some funds to his family to ensure he can get this life giving care? You can send them directly to Molly via the V-mo or call their vet and add funds for his care. My commitment to my fosters is for life, so please help me help the best, sweetest kitty on the planet get some much needed pain relief!

As a quick update, I’m in the midst of a major life change which means I’ll have to be on hiatus indefinitely once Chomps graduate. As heartbroken as I am to need to take a step back, I keep being reminded that I need to put my oxygen mask on first and this doesn’t have to be forever. I’ll update as a I can about Chomps and may be posting throwbacks after. Thanks to all for your understanding and support! ♥️
