CONSTABLE'S FIREWORK PET SAFETY TIPS

With the Fourth of July fast approaching, let's refresh with Constable Mark Herman's Firework Pet Safety Tips.

While we enjoy the beautiful fireworks, most pets do not. Without proper supervision and planning, many pets will become frantic and often run away.

Super fun way to practice obedience skills being offered at Happy Dog Sports in Leander, TX on Tuesdays. Novice level Rally Skills and Drills at Noon, Excellent/Master Skills and Drills at 1pm, and Open Obedience Skills and Drills at 2pm. Email [email protected] for more information.

AKC Puppy S.T.A.R. class will begin January 4. Class meets on Mondays at 6pm and costs $180. Class size is limited to 6, so send a private message for enrollment forms! Classes meet in Leander.

Never too early to teach different positions to your puppies. This beagle pup caught on so fast...watch him respond to the commands when I was working the other puppy!

Please take caution in this extreme heat!

Here in Austin it gets HOT, especially in August, and unfortunately every year we see animals lose their lives to heat stroke. Keep your pet safe by being aware of predisposing factors, symptoms, and take them to the nearest vet right away if you suspect your pet could be showing signs of heat exhaustion or stroke!
