We all understand the excitement that comes with adopting a new member of your family but there can also be stress and worry, as well. From dog to dog introductions to potty training, there can be a lot of things each of you has to adjust to.

It is important that our expectations are set at the beginning and that we understand that many of the dogs adopted from a shelter situation are going through a lot of change themselves. The rule of 3, 3, 3 is a general guideline used to help us understand how long it truly does take for a newly adopted rescue dog to adjust to your home and helps us give them the best chance.
