Roxboro Animal Hospital team was all about pet Dental health last week, as we had Action Vet Tech Services, LLC come in and provide us with some extra tips!!

Shout out to the amazing team Roxboro Animal Hospital who did great during their training. Jessianne Whitworth, RVT from Action Vet Tech Services, LLC provided hands-on training for Dental Radiography. This team already had strong foundational knowledge but wanted to become more efficient in the time it takes to achieve full mouth radiographs. Jessianne was able to give them tips and tricks on positioning to help with that goal!

We have enlisted a NO RETRACTABLE LEASH policy in our lobby. Please see the front desk to borrow a rope leash during your visit. This policy has been initiated for the safety of all of our patients, clients and team members.

Dogs who are 10 feet away are NOT under control, even if they are on a leash?

Dogs on long leads can dart into traffic and get hit by a car?

The retractable cord itself is a hazard and can severely injure people and animals (including degloving and amputation of limbs!)?

The locks can fail, resulting in complete lack of control of your dog?

Dog fights can not easily be avoided on a retractable leash?

KEEP YOUR PETS ON A TRADITIONAL LEASH FOR EVERYONE'S SAFETY!

Never leave your pet unsupervised outside on hot days. While you are away, keep your pet indoors with air conditioning. While outside, ensure your pet has access to fresh water, shade, and shelter away from direct sunlight.
