Muzzle training for vet visits.
Also,I offer mock practice meeting at dog’s vet office.
To practice calming techniques before entering.
Down to starting the best foundation for pupies.
I also work with the smalls lol
Somebody has to do it.
We complain they are little terrors.

Training for the week covers reactive behavior towards new home entrants, conflicts between the two resident dogs.
Reactivity outside on leash.
With some basic skill training.
Little bit of everything this past week.
Ps,Duke (hound)and Cooper the (beagle,)
I work with every week for Njsh pet rescue.
They are both dear to my ❤️
Duke and Cooper have been waiting so long for that special home.

Behavioral training from this past week included locations in Hoboken, Bridgewater, Rockaway, Morris Plains, Hackettstown, Sparta ,Blairstown, and Flemington, with some towns in between😄All over Nj !
Our focus was on muzzle training for vet visits, addressing dog reactivity, human reactivity in home and outside environments, guarding behaviors, and separation anxiety.
The families are just as important to me.
Without them on board I could never help their dogs. ❤️

Long leash trail hiking with my Mack Man . Always a pleasure when they are truly leash trained. No force ever. Even following me,and my direction out long. He knows my body and my verbal direction even with his back to me. Long leash hiking, improves the 6 foot leash human straight line sidewalk walk. For many dog’s who naturally don’t do well on a leash. Gives them more freedom to move how dog’s move naturally. Remember it’s a human thing a leash lol Ps now I can have full conversations and he knows what I want lol I intrested in long leash training with your dog ? It would be my pleasure to teach you both.

Pepper and her Mom working the leash . The start in teaching Pepper what we want on a leash . In a way she understands . She is also reactive on leash to other dogs . Building confidence on both ends will in return give you a dog that will go where you go , move how you move , no matter what. No Force . Praise and if needed high value food or treats when you hit that brick wall in communication. Always let them know they are rocking it ❤️ Soon ,Pepper will walk the human straight line fantastic . She will know what to do with the communication she learned . And will understand the human 6 foot leash . But in return, she should always be granted long leash to move like a dog respectfully weekly .

Giving Peppe the long leash and lead on my terms . No pulling with no force . As long as they understand what you want them to do on a leash they will learn . . I put the dog anywhere I want as long as they understand what to do . Truly teaching a dog is work . But in the end your dog understands you. All because you used your mind and body to speak the language they understand.. You show them for real .

Working with Mama’s today on recall long leash from high prey drive . 2 Weeks ago ,I couldn’t even get her to listen to me on any direction or guidance . When she was on a sent or spotted a critter look out!!! Using the river as her high value big fun I could start calling her off . I used that positive experience for her in teaching her ok we need to do this out of water girlfriend ❤️. To bring her right out into woods to teach how to handle the over the top craziness of her hunt lol . With no force of course ! What dog learns the real way with force ! Yes don’t need no chock or prong ! I need my mind to learn to communicate and teach them . Help them ! Desensitization is not putting straight into what she can’t handle . It’s working hard to find a good experience outside of the box . To help her handle it in a more calm way and take direction easily. Love you Mama’s ❤️one special girl . She has been hurt enough coming from a abusive board and train !!!
