Attention Joe-Bar Stables Friends and Family.

Due to personal and professional reasons, I took a step away from managing the pages back in April.

Unfortunately, Kevin lost his admin rights when Facebook deleted his profile a few years ago. This left Barb and I as editors on the page, but Barb lost access to this personal page and started over with a new one.

As editors, we do not have full access rights, so we are unable to add/remove other people to the page, and we are not able to delete the page either.

Barb has agreed to try to regain access to her old page. Once she is able to, I will be removing myself from the page.

To clear up further rumors, Facebook business accounts do not have their own individual login credentials. Instead, users who were invited to manage the page must log in through their personal Facebook account to access the business page using their own personal account password. So, no... there are no separate login credentials to share or that were withheld for any reason.

I have enjoyed most of the past 8 1/2 years as Joe-Bar Stables Social Media Manager and truly wish them well in the future.

Should you have any questions, concerns, or requests, please forward them to Kevin Coyne, Joe-Bar Stables owner and manager, directly.

Thank you,
Hollie

Update 2/14/24:

Follow up on Frontier Park:

From the desk of Councilmember Amy Cruver

Suspension of Frontier Park Arena Fees: In response to concerns raised by myself and constituents, County Executive Bruce Dammeier has directed Pierce County Parks to suspend the implementation of the new fees associated with the Frontier Park Horse Arena until further notice. During this suspension period, Pierce County will conduct a thorough review of the methodology, market conditions, and related assumptions that led to the adoption of the Frontier Park fees by the Council. To read Executive Dammeier’s letter, click here.

I, too, am researching how similar venues operate. In the meantime, I will appreciate hearing from you on how the fees would have impacted your use of the arena and how our arena compares to others. Please send your comments to [email protected]

Update 2/2/24: We appreciate your feedback related to this announcement. We hear the frustration and concerns related to this upcoming change at Frontier Park.

As a reminder, the horse arena fee at Frontier Park was put into place by the Pierce County Council through Ordinance 2023-50, which went into effect on Jan 1 and updates Parks and Recreation fees and schedules for all our facilities and parks. You can read the ordinance here: https://online.co.pierce.wa.us/cfapps/council/model/otDocDownload.cfm?id=34724209&fileName=2023-50%20Signed%20Final%20Ordinance%20with%20Exhibit.pdf.

If you want to further share your opinions and concerns, we invite you to write to your Councilmember: https://www.piercecountywa.gov/99/Pierce-County-Council.

A new reservation system will be made available to riders at Frontier Park’s horse arena starting Monday, February 5! 🐴

The reservation process allows riders to select a timeslot for when they plan to arrive at the arena. It’s FREE and good for all-day use of the arena. Multiple riders can select the same timeslot too.

Starting February 5, you can visit the Frontier Park website to register in advance or scan the QR code sign when you arrive onsite.

Heads up: starting May 1, a horse arena fee goes into effect at Frontier Park. The fee will be $15 per hour for the first trailer accommodating up to two horses. For each additional horse, there is an extra charge of $8 per horse per hour. To learn more, visit www.PierceCountyWA.gov/HorseArena.
