Sweet Nora and her family were our first rescues of 2024. Nora is one of the lucky ones. Born in sanctuary with her mom and brothers by her side.
Nora has never known a day of fear or sadness. She was born free with her family and caretakers dedicated to her lifelong happiness and care.
Nora and her family eat 700 lbs of hay every 5 days and this is why your donation today is so important. We have a $5,000 match today for the animals that will enable us to continue to care for the nearly 100 animals who find safety here at the sanctuary.
Will you give today to help Nora, her family, and all the animals? We’re counting on your support to help continue helping animals in need and we can’t do this without you.
You can donate here, Venmo to Heartwood-Haven, or by visiting our website. Thank you for your support. 💛💛

Monty stole all of our hearts this year.
A 2 pound piglet found dead next to his sibling inspired us all to hope and to laugh. Keeping him alive was the most difficult 8 weeks. Round the clock care mixed with multiple sicknesses but Monty was a fighter.
Monty’s story is just one of nearly 300 successful rescues we’ve completed at the sanctuary this year. 300 lives we’ve touched and forever changed with your help.
Our work isn’t done though. They are many Monty’s out there fighting for their life and hoping we come through. This year, we have an incredibly generous donor offer a $5,000 match for #GivingTuesday.
We must reach the goal to receive the $5,000 match. Can you help? If Monty touched your heart this year, will you give today to help us continue to help those who need us most?
You can donate here, Venmo to Heartwood-Haven, or visit our website. Let’s fight together to help all the Monty’s who need us. 💛💛

Pumpkin season is in full swing and Ruby is loving it!
Would you boop these snouts?🐽
The babies are always on an adventure these days.
We saw lots of Monty zooming all around when he was this little but Monty was also blessed to be born in Spring and was growing up with hot days and mud holes.
These babies are dealing with winter, cold, and rain. Regardless they are happy it hasn’t been too cold and rainy because they do love to be outside rooting and running around. 🐷💛💛
After a day of playing outside and taking long naps under a heat lamp the piglets head inside for the night.
They are so smart and sweet and know exactly where they need to go. 🐷💛💛
The piglets have been going outside during the day and they are loving it! 🐷💛💛
Who knew a simple cardboard box would keep 3 little pigs entertained for hours. 🐷
Who are you choosing in today’s great debate? Piglets or cats? 🐷🐈

It’s everyone’s favorite time of year! Pumpkin time.
The pigs love them and we love watching them take their favorite treats off into the sunset.
If you have pumpkins lying around and can drop them off here at the sanctuary please message us. Monty would love to have those pumpkins. 🎃🐷
