WE'VE BEEN INVADED!!! We had the pleasure of seeing these feisty feline faces. Our team masterfully multitasked while caring for them and stealing all the snuggles. As you can see, they were a better way to start our day than coffee. Kittens>Coffee any day

✨🌴RPVC STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK 🌴✨
Michelle has been working with Dr. Christina Herejk since May 2015 and as a Veterinary Technician since January 2012. She has experience in emergency / critical care and general practice medicine for small animals. Since Michelle was a little girl, she knew that she wanted to work with animals and could not feel more at home with her career choice. In January 2019 she received her Fear Free Certification. She also studied Veterinary Technology at Penn Foster College. Michelle officially became a Florida Certified Veterinary Technician in the summer of 2020. She enjoys being able to offer a low stress experience for both pets and their families. Education is a huge part of her job and she enjoys sharing what she has learned with pet owners.
Michelle is also the proud mother to her precious cat “Dewey” and dog "Pippy". They both love cuddling on the couch and waking her up every morning for breakfast. On her days off, she enjoys fishing, volleyball, tennis or anything outdoors and spending time with her husband. She is currently working on her Bachelors in Veterinary Technology and believes this is an ever-learning field. Michelle looks forward to meeting you and your furry friend!

✨🌴RPVC STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK 🌴✨
Ashley has been a part of Royal Palm Veterinary Center since August 2021. She started working as a veterinary technician in Fort Lauderdale in 2019. Since then, she has learned to
work with pocket pets, birds, dogs and cats at a number of different hospitals. Ashley grew up and lived around all types of animals, which ignited a passion to work with them in the future.
At first, Ashley went to college and majored in criminal justice to eventually work her way up to the K9 unit. Eventually, she discovered other avenues to work more closely with pets which
made her decide to switch her major to animal science. Since then, she has worked to be a more knowledgeable technician through experience and continued education. She became Fear
Free Certified in 2021. She also started studying Veterinary technology at Penn Foster to eventually become a certified veterinary technician. Ashley's goal in life is to help any one in
need, whether they be two, four, or no legged!
Ashley also has her "zoo" at home which includes dogs, birds, a snake, fish, and even rats. Her dog "Hope" is in training to be a service dog, but when off duty, she enjoys relaxing with her
owner at home or going to the neighborhood dog park. Ashley loves visiting America's national parks and intends to visit and collect stamps at all of them. She believes the true adventure is at home and she can't wait to meet your family!

Kathy is a South Florida native who grew up on a five acre farm in Palm Beach Gardens with horses, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, geese and a pet goat named “Napoleon”. She continued competing in the South Florida Hunter Jumper Circuit (AHSA/SFHJA) until the age of thirty.
Kathy began her career in veterinary medicine in 1988 and joined Royal Palm Animal Hospital (now Royal Palm Veterinary Center) in May 1989 under the direction of Dr. Richard Ringler. Kathy has continued her career as a veterinary technician at Royal Palm Veterinary Center with Dr. Christina Herejk, and hopes to continue to provide the utmost care and compassion to her many patients and extended family members for years to come.
She is happily married to Tony, her love and best friend of twenty+ years. She is also mommy to ten spoiled rotten chickens. Kathy also enjoys boating, camping, off-roading, gardening and cooking.

✨🌴RPVC STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK 🌴✨
Kasie is originally from Texas, but she has now been loving the South Florida life for the past 12 years. Her love of animals started at a very young age growing up on a working cattle farm. Tending to the dogs on the farm was her first real job. As an adult Kasie has worked since 2006 as a representative for dog food companies, an AKC recognized pet groomer, a veterinary assistant and now at our front desk since June of 2022.

Kasie’s favorite part of her job is getting to see both our patients and the families they live with grow and grow up and getting to share in all the joys and triumphs they see.

She is happily married to Cody, for the last 9 years. She is also momma to her “small zoo” consisting of Beaux, George Walter and Pearl Mae, their beloved dogs. A whole flock of chickens, Bruce the Beardie and Tank, a sulcata tortoise. Kasie also enjoys hiking, the beach, gaming, cooking, and creating glass art in her spare time.

✨🌴RPVC STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK 🌴✨

Rachel joined the Royal Palm Veterinary Center family in April of 2023. A Florida native, she was born and raised right here in South Florida. She lives locally with her husband of 15 years with their 2 children and 2 dogs. She has always had a ton of different pets throughout her lifetime from hamsters, rabbits, ferrets, birds, chinchillas, snakes, leopard geckos, chameleons, to flying squirrels. Her love for animals has never changed and she is beyond passionate about them.
When she is not helping pets, she enjoys family time, playing cards, board games, going to concerts, cruising and traveling. When she isn't in the office she is often found at her children's practice or sports events. Rachel has a huge heart and was so excited to join our team. She looks forward to speaking with you and serving you and your pets in the near future.

Gearing up for the Holidays and pet anxiety

As fall approaches and we get closer to the Holiday Season. We find ourselves extra busy, in and out and running errands and preparing. For some households, the season means extra houseguests and maybe even a party or two. And of course, no holiday would be complete without some fireworks. But did you know that all these things can be a source of stress and anxiety for pets?

For our furry friends, stress and anxiety doesn't just show itself as hiding or nervousness. It can cause gastric upset, behavior changes and in some cases even cause them to run away. None of these are things that we have on our holiday wish lists. To help alleviate some of the seasonal stressors, ask your pet's veterinary team about pharmaceutical and nutraceutical options today.
We would love to help make the whole family's Holiday Season a little happier!

We will begin seeing appointments at this new location starting on November 20th.

9/1 GINGER CAT APPRECIATION DAY: 😺😻😽😸

We're celebrating our GINGER feline friends here at Royal Palm Vet Center today! Here are some fun facts about our feisty orange feline friends. DID YOU KNOW???

😻- Ginger cats love the limelight! They are talkers, attention hogs and entertainers by nature.
🙀 - Ginger cats have a higher prey drive. According to evidence found in a 2016 study of breed traits and characteristics.
😼 - Much like their red-haired human servants, many Ginger cats have freckles.
😸- Most Ginger cats are male. 3-to-1, in fact! Because it only takes an inherited "Ginger Gene" from momma cats to make an orange boy. To make a girl carrot topped kitty takes the gene from both parents.
😽 - The ginger coat comes in 5 types, classic (swirled), mackerel (striped), spotted, ticked and patched. But all Ginger cats have stripes somewhere in their patterning.
😺 - A couple of famous Ginger cats include Puss and Boots from the film "Shrek" and Milo from "The Adventures of Milo and Otis."
😼 - All ginger cats exhibit the tabby pattern. Including their signature "M" forehead marking
😺 - Certain breeds are more likely to exhibit ginger fur than others. Some of the most common ginger cat breeds are the Abyssinian, Bengal, Egyptian Mau, Munchkin, and Persian.
😸 - Ginger Cats Have Longer Lifespans. On average, cats tend to live for 12-18 years. However, ginger cats are known to have longer lifespans and can live up to 20 years.
😹 - In 1998, an orange tabby named Stubbs was elected Mayor of the town of Talkeetna in Alaska. And held Office for 19 whole minutes!

Do you have a Ginger cat in your life? If so hug them!
