🐾 Max- Adopt Me 🐾

🐾 Saved from euthanasia the morning he was scheduled to be put to sleep- Thankfully a foster stepped in that morning and saved his life.

🐾 Max is an adorable 7yr 17lb boy with the cutest floppy ears. He also has white boots for feet and a white tip on his tail. Max loves to play with his toys but he prefers to play alone. He is a very sweet boy who will give you kisses. Max is easy to leash and walks nicely on the leash. He is looking for his forever home.

🐾 Max does fine with dogs his size or bigger, but is a bit dominant with dogs smaller than him. As far as cats, it seems as he’s never interacted with them before and chases them. We think we with slow and the proper introductions over time, he would be fine. As always, we always recommend slow and friendly introductions with dogs and cats with any new rescue.

🐾 If you are interested in making Max part of your forever home, please contact us. He hasn’t had a great life so we hope to make it better for him.

Sweet Sweet Eddie Still searching for his forever home.

📌 Delray Beach, FL

Saved from Miami Dade, fostered since day 1. He’s been with the rescue for a while, almost 8 months. While his foster mom loves him, we can’t help another until he gets adopted.

Here is what we know about him. He’s dog friendly, unknown to cats, but has shown no aggression on walks. He’s potty and crate trained. He enjoys swimming, pools, beach, pack walks, going solo walks, and pup cups. He rides nice in the car and L ☀️ V E S adventures. He’s estimated to be about 2 and weighs 45lbs. He is being fostered with 2 other dogs. He has great energy and would do great with older kids (9 and up). He might knock the little ones over but doesn’t mean any harm. If you have any questions please contact us.

His adoption donation fee is $400. He is neutered and up to date on shots. When he was rescued he had pneumonia and needed a FHO done. We have spent over $3500 on him and we tapped into our emergency fund for him.

We check references and do a home check, we also will have multiple conversations on the phone with you as well as you with the foster to make sure you are a great fit. He also comes with a 6 month supply of Simparica Trio ($200)

“WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!”

🐾 Pupdate- Max rescued from when a foster came through the morning he was scheduled to be euthanized. Just look at the difference being in a home makes. Max has shown no aggression, in fact- all he wants is to be around his foster mom and dad all the time.

🐾 He’s doing great in his foster home and will be up for adoption soon. We are just monitoring his kennel cough before we start any meet and greets. He is still taking his medication for his cough. If you are looking for a loyal companion, look no further. Max is your guy!

🐾 If you’d like more information on him, you may contact us at 561-818-8120.

🐾 Last save of the day. We just rescued Max in the nick of time. A last minute foster came through for this sweet little guy. 😮‍💨 We placed the hold at 7:45AM this morning. We don’t know if this guy just knew how close he came to not being here anymore. 😞

🐾 Thank you to Jill, Kerrianne and for Darlene, stepping up when no one else would. Thankfully she couldn’t see this little guy get put down. We are so grateful for her.

🐾 We can’t wait to see this little guys personality shine bright ✨ Stay tuned for more pupdates as we learn more about him.

💖 We did a thing today-

💖 Ripley was in need of a 2 week foster before takes him. We posted him last night and unfortunately no one stepped up. So we did!

💖 He’ll be staying with Kristine (Founder/President of My Why Rescue) until he’s either adopted or heads off to Big Dog Ranch. This guy is 13 years old and super chill. We don’t know much about him yet but we are looking forward to learning more about him.

💖 Stay tuned for more updates and posts on him. In the meantime, we will shower him with love and care. Seniors are by far the best companions ever. It’s truly a shame that some don’t feel that way and feel the best option is to surrender them to the shelter.

💖 If you’d like more information on Ripley feel free to text us at 561-818-8120. We’d love to help find him a home before he heads back to Big Dog Ranch.

💖 We would love to shower him with toys, treats and a pet bed. Please head over to our Chewy list if you’d like to make a donation for him.

🤍 Yeti Pupdate-

🤍 First things first- thank you to all that have donated items to Yeti. He, his foster and the rescue are so grateful to all of your support. We’ve added some more items on the wishlist as we found some items that he really enjoys.

🤍 We started him on Doxy Friday and hope to set an appointment for him to get his heart worm plan in place. He really likes the pill pockets when taking his meds so we added some to the list.

🤍 He falls asleep on the rug at the back door. He seems to be most comfortable there, must be his safe spot for now. He is very gentle with treats, enjoys going for walks and seems to be loosening up more and exploring.

🤍 His wishlist is added again below ⬇️

🐾 Marcel- Pupdate

A huge thank you to Woof Gang Bakery Palm Beach Gardens for giving Marcel the spa experience. Amanda, thank you for always being there to lend a hand to make our pups feel loved and giving them the best scrub down ever. Lisa, thank you for always supporting our rescue. We appreciate your support more than you know.

THANK YOU!!

Marcel has started his heart worm treatment. He was also started on a different medication to help him feel better as he was on the verge of pneumonia. His fosters have been absolutely amazing with him. We can’t thank them and from Furry Friends for her help for seeing over his care.

It literally takes a village and we can’t thank ours for all the support. It truly makes a difference 🤍🤍

🐾 Charlie- Adopted

We rescued Charlie (which seems like years ago), from the euthanasia list from and he was HW positive. The shelter took care of his heart worm and our foster took amazing care of him through the process. Charlie had two fur siblings, three human siblings and was a cuddle bug from the start. We’ve been actively looking for his furever home for him.

🐾 Unfortunately a tumor took the life of their Golden this past week, and their other dog Susie needs another fur baby when no one is home. Charlie has provided her comfort, love and an extra sleeping buddy when the hoomans are out of the house. Charlie was where he was supposed to be right from the start.

🐾 We wish Charlie nothing but a life time of naps on the couch, Zoomies in the morning, cuddles with the kids at night and happy tails along the way.

🐾 Happy Gotcha Day sweet boy- You were home 🏡 all along. If you’d like to donate so we can send him a welcoming care package you may do so at the following links- Just add Charlie in the memo 📝

Thank you for being his light through the dark. As we are deeply saddened by the passing of Bailey, we know Charlie will follow in his footsteps and take care of Susie. 🤍

Fostering truly saves lives- Sometimes we need them just as much as they need us. Be the change, take the leap to helping a helpless animal today.

🐾 Yeti A2223336

This sweet boy couldn’t stop wagging his tail all the way to the car. A huge thank you to for sending us a great foster.

🐾 Yeti is HW positive. We will set up a vet appointment ASAP to get that taken care of. Yeti will start to decompress and just live the non shelter life. We have an Amazon Wishlist set up for him. See link below ⬇️

Pupdate: Another rescue has a hold on Mama and pups

URGENT PLEA:
Mama and her puppies need out. Some are weaned and unfortunately, some aren’t. We’ve asked which ones are weaned to see if we could possibly help those. We know Mama and her puppies would need to stay together but if we can help a few plus Mama we’d love to.

We can’t do it without help- Mama is frightened in the shelter environment. She’s small to medium size, friendly but scared to walk on a leash, with patience she does fine. No offensive behaviors observed per the kennel staff.

If you can help, please contact us. 561-818-8120 (text is best)

I’ve learned a lot along the way in rescue and my circle remains small for various reasons. Gina is one fierce woman and I’m forever grateful to her and her rescue for helping some of the dogs here in Palm Beach County and Okeechobee County. This rescue resides in Tampa, FL. They specialize in Great Pyrs, Newfies and St. Bernard’s.

Gina is fighting the battle of her life and she needs help. Please read the story we’ve shared and if you have $5 to spare, we ask that you donate it to her Go Fund Me.

They’ve taken on high medical cases from us and I’m forever grateful to her and her rescue.

Please- Help is needed 🤍😔

I’ve been trying to find it in me to update everyone on how things are going. I guess I didn’t know how or where to start.

I’ve spent the past week swimming in a sea of emotions here. I’m trying to keep my head up but sometimes the waters pull me under.

There’s one doctor on my team that’s an absolute bitch. I’m not the only patient that feels this and I’m not the only one dealing with her wrath. She’s more than just cold. She doesn’t stop her negative opinion until the patient is in tears. This happened twice with me when she blasted into my room and told me I’m not a candidate for transplant because I’m too thin. The second time she told me that I needed to look at other centers. When I told the lead doctor this he was shocked. Of course that doctor is leaving at the end of the month. The remaining doctor is awesome though. You can tell he’s been fighting for me.

So that hit hard when the Medical Review Boare came back and deferred me until I gain a specified amount of weight. They have yet to tell me what that number is.

It doesn’t really matter though. I think the second hardest thing I ever heard is that I can’t go home. Ever. It’s either transplant or hospice. My oxygen needs are too high for a home environment.

I miss my family.

Sure I see them once a week. And I’m grateful for that but when you’re used to seeing them everyday it’s hard. And I know my boys are both struggling with this.

7 weeks. That’s how long I’ve been here. If you would have told me December 20 I’d be in the hospital for several months eating powdered eggs every day for breakfast i wouldn’t have believed you.

Just for the record: powdered eggs are terrible.

But it’s the same static menu every week and I’m over it. I had a mini fridge delivered. If I need to eat it’s got to be food that I like. So far no one has said a word to me.

I always knew this day was coming. I just didn’t think it was now. I was doing so well that you would never know until I told you. Emotionally I’m trying my best to hold things together. Physically I’m ok. Not great but ok. Financially I will never recover from this. I’m not even sure what I’ll have left when it’s over. I spent my life building a business. I can’t even think about that right now.

There is a Starbucks downstairs and we’ve managed to absorb that in my daily walks. Turns out my drink of choice, white chocolate mocha, is incredibly fattening. Bonus.

From what I gather my case will be presented to the Board once I start documented weight gain. From the whispers I heard in the hallway I’m going to be a harder match since I’m a tiny human compared to most. I only stand 5’3” so I likely can’t accept lungs from a 6’ donor.

If you still want to help me survive this storm, I could really use some prayers right now. My GoFundMe that Theresa created I also still active. There will be a contest guessing how much this medical bill is when I’m done. I’ll give you a list of the days in icu as well as all the testing. I honestly feel like a freakin lab rat right now.
