It’s been one year since Rick was captured and safely trapped!! He gave me a run for my money! Lol
If his adopted family is on here I (Dawn)would love to know how he is doing. hope he is doing well!

02.25.21 2nd update today

And just like that we got a call that he is back in the Limerick area.  he was seen over in the Royersford Road area. everyone in the Limerick area that has a camera and is around the areas where he had been seen previously if you wouldn’t mind keeping an eye out it would be much appreciated.

Yes this is absolutely possible that he could be down here because it’s only a 2 1/2 hour walk for us to come down from where he had been earlier today.

This dog just will not settle in one spot and that’s all the more reason why we need sightings as much as possible!

A trap, camera and food has been set.
He has been at the same place twice. However, he does tend to leave after a day or two at least that was his ritual before. I’m hoping now that we have found a location where he was as early as this morning that he is still there!

He has been chased a few times so we are asking if everyone sees this if they could pass the message along to not engage him, pretend he is not there! Just call the owner.

And if you pray now is the time!!!

Day 20!
Come on Rick! Keep showing yourself so we know where to go next to try to get you trapped!

Yesterday he was seen up in the Schwenksville/Zieglersville area.  more posters will be going out.

We need people in Schwenksville, Zieglersville, Gilbertsville and all original areas to keep your eyes open for him. He could eventually come back.

Remember, do not attempt to capture or chase. He is afraid of people and will continue to move. If you have a dog and you get down low to the ground he might approach but chances are he will keep moving.

Please contact the owner immediately if seen with what time of day/night and which direction he was going.

Please read through the posts. We have a lot of information here that could be helpful in spotting him.

Yes the local police have been contacted that includes Limerick police as well as a few other local departments.

We signed up for an amber alert that went out to the general area as well.

Local rescues and veterinarians around the surrounding areas have all been notified. As well as the local SPCA‘s!

Please tell your neighbors and everyone you know as not all people are on social media.

He slipped his collar when he went missing so there is no collar and no tags. He is however microchipped which can be scanned to find his owner once he is found! Those that don’t know a microchip does not track a dog it helps reunite owners once the dog is found.

Again he is absolutely terrified right now and he will not allow you to catch him so please do not attempt to do so. If he happens to get inside your fenced in yard that would be perfect or inside a shed a garage or anything like that you could simply close the door and contact the owner immediately.

02.24.21 UPDATE: He was seen on Zieglersville Road. He crossed Route 73 at the Asian place near the Wawa went into the woods heading in the direction of route 29.

Today is 19 days that Rick has been missing. We have had no sightings since Saturday, the 20th of February. Four days with no sightings!

He was last seen on camera at approximately 10:00 PM in the Waterford green development off of Lewis Road. 

Please be vigilant when you are out. Keep looking during your travels! Check your properties just in case he is injured.

Swamp Pike between Kugler Road and Ridge Pike.
Ridge Pike between Kugler Road and Greenwood Avenue which is down near the target shopping center at Township line Road.
Lewis Road between Ridge Pike and 422.
All roads in between!!

02 24.21 UPDATE

was seen today near Route 29 and Route 73 at the Wawa. ZIEGLERSVILLE
He is on the move we need everyone in every area from Schwenksville, Zieglersville and back towards where he went missing forom on the lookout!!!

Rick went missing from East Cherry Lane, Royersford, PA (mailing address - not town) on February 5, 2021. He was adopted from the Lancaster County PSPCA. When he arrived to his new home, he panicked and slipped his collar before he even got inside the house. His adopters are devastated.

My name is Dawn and I am a search and rescue volunteer that is helping the family. Previous traps, food and cameras have been set but he has been evading all of them.

Some of Rick’s background is unknown. Rick was a name given at the Shelter. His original name was unknown. He does not know his name and will not respond. Rick’s Dad (owner) passed away suddenly and left behind Rick and his 3 other dog brothers. All were left alone for several weeks prior to them being found. How traumatic for them!

Rick's brothers went into a rescue and Rick found himself up for adoption. He was the nervous, anxious one and needed some work and decompression time before being adopted.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

* SIGHTINGS!!!!

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?

* Tell everyone you know that could be in any of the local areas surrounding his address. A map has been attached and can be found in the photo area.
*Yes, you can look for him if you are out driving around or even taking a walk.

WHAT DO YOU DO IF YOU SEE HIM?

* DO NOT APPROACH! We do not want him frightened any more than what he already is. He may leave the area.

* CALL THE OWNER IMMEDIATELY. Don't wait a day or so. This sets us behind in being able to figure out his next move. Give the owner the location, time of day/night and what direction he was headed.

We are asking you not to do any foot searches for him. He is a very shy and nervous dog. It takes him a long time to trust someone. He will NOT come to you and will run.

HE NEEDS FOOD!! ONLY IF YOU HAVE A SECURITY CAMERA OR TRAIL CAMERA!

* We are asking anyone that has a camera to put a bowl of food out with something smelly. Hot dogs are his favorite! We need to see him eating on camera in order to get a humane trap. "Most" dogs will return to the same location if they can get a good meal!

SOME LOCATIONS HE HAS BEEN:
* Limerick Golf Course
* Turtle Creek Golf Course
* Waltz Golf Farm
* Limerick Vet
* Manderach/Limerick Community Park
* Target/Giant/PetSmart - Township Line Road and Ridge - Very dangerous area!! Do not under any circumstances try to get him. We don't want him to get hit!
* Waterford Greene Development
* Lewis Road, South Limerick Road, Limerick Center Road, Metka Road, Country Club Road, Knoll Drive off of Township Line Road, Up and down Ridge Pike and along Swamp Pike near the cemetery and park.

Rick is not the type of dog to return to the exact location of where had been previously. He will come nearby but never the same house, same place on the golf course, etc. We believe he has changed his patterns and is now moving more during times when people are not around. Sightings have been early in the am and late at night. That does not mean he couldn't be seen at other times.
