I would like to say "Thank Ewe" to those people who bid and purchased our lambs at the 2024 KHSI Expo Sale. It has been a great year for our 2024 lamb crop at the events we have attended.

We look forward to 2025 with our new ram from Pararie Lane Farms. We believe that SHU 5087 will be producing the quality breeding stock that producers are seeking.

This is the Spraberry Acres January Ram Lamb consignment for the KHSI Expo (Lot #146). This is our last ram out of “Grand Jury” SHU4342. This RR lamb gained 1 lb. a day the first 60 days. Stands good on his feet and structurally correct. This lamb has been born on pasture and raised on pasture with a little supplement. He has not been kept in a pen. He has been genomic tested. LambPlan/ Pedigree Master has not been updated since I received the results. Tmen54 1,4

This will be one of the Spraberry Acres entries at the KHSI Expo Sale August 3rd in Mexico, Missouri. She is a January lamb that goes back to our foundation flock. This RR lamb has an average daily gain of .75lbs the first 60 days and a current weight of 137 lbs. Born on pasture, raised on pasture with a supplement (forage based). A classy ewe with black hoofs. (Registration #207028, NSIP )

Spraberry Acres will have select registered ram lambs at the Texas Field Day Private Treaty Sale. Lambs have excellent 60 day weights. We also have ram lambs available a the farm also.

Planted a blend that contained turnips, ryegrass and clover last fall. Grazed the turnips out and pulled sheep off for a regrowth. Now have weaned lambs grazing ryegrass and clover.

Spraberry Acres has started the 2024 lambing season. This is the last year that we will have lambs available form “Grand Jury” SHU4342. He has put lambs in the top 10 at the KHSI Expo multiple times and placed lambs in the top 10 at the Midwest Stud Ram Sale. This ram has been genomic tested.
We are planning on attending the Texas Katahdin Hair Sheep Private Treaty Sale in Gatesville, Texas on April,13,2024 and the KHSI Expo in Mexico, Missouri in August. We can deliver to both locations if needed.
We will make available 60-day weights on all of our lambs. Our emphasis focuses on real time numbers and structure. All lambs will be geno type RR. This will be our 3rd year enrolled in NSIP. Feel free to contact us. I love to talk sheep.
