Do you believe in life after love? Cher does! She is ready to find her forever home after many weeks of loving her babies. Cher was a great mom to her two babies but is now done with her motherly duties. She is a very sweet girl who loves your attention. Cher also loves relaxing in a comfy bed. She would make a great companion for anyone looking for a social cat as she is very outgoing. Cher got along fairly well with other cats at the shelter prior to having her babies. With proper introduction she would do well in another home with a calm cat. If Cher sounds like the cat for you don't hesitate to apply for adoption! Cher has lots of love to give.

This week's cat of the week is as beautiful as a Rose, hence her name! Rose is a dilute calico who is about a year and half old. She was found under a car at someone's house. The residents quickly noticed she was there and took her inside. They brought us to her so we could intake her into the shelter. They were so kind to foster her after her intake until she was spayed and ready to find her forever home. Rose can be a bit bashful at first but is quick to trust you and want your attention. She has an adorable little meow that is sure to melt your heart. She loves pets so much he will flop over and make biscuits! She is pretty quiet and laid back too. She just wants to relax with you while you give her attention. Rose is also good with other cats. If Rose sounds like the purrfect cat for you, apply to adopt her today!

Calling all orange cat lovers, Cheddar is ready to grab your heart! This handsome orange tabby is about 3 years old. He was recently surrendered to us, he was well taken care of and loved by his previous owners from when he was found a stray as a kitten. He was sick and injured but they took him to the vet and helped him recover. Their vet determined he is partially paralyzed on the right side of his face causing him not to be able to close his right eye or have feeling in his right ear but it doesn't affect his ability to see or hear. Cheddar is initially a little shy, but quickly warms up and is the sweetest boy. He loves your attention and will flop over for pets. Cheddar is a very social cat and loves to be where people are. He can be a bit chatty too! His previous owners report he is great with other cats and dogs as well. If Cheddar sounds like the purrfect match for you, apply to adopt him today!

MISSING CAT!
Beast was last seen August 1st, 2024 in the evening. He resides off Amicus Road near the Twin Lakes neighborhood. He is very friendly, affectionate, and litterbox trained. He will come right up to anyone for attention. He is a long-haired brown tabby that has part Maine C**n in him. He is a 1-year-old intact male. He is not microchipped. If you have seen Beast and know of his whereabouts, please contact Chante at 323-742-8924. His family misses him dearly and hopes he comes home soon!

This week's featured feline is Kimi! You might remember Kimi from a while ago as cat of the week. Sweet Kimi is still in search of her forever home. She has really come out of her shell and is very affectionate. When she first came to the shelter as a transfer she was sweet but very shy and always stayed in her cage. Now Kimi loves to get pets and attention. She is a relaxed girl who enjoys snuggling up in a cozy bed and making biscuits. Kimi gets along well with other cats too! Meet sweet Buzz! This cute boy is about 2 years old and is sweet as can be! Buzz came into the shelter with his brother Woody, who has since been adopted. He gets along great with other cats, he especially loves playing with the kittens here at the shelter. Buzz can be a bit bashful at first but he is a giant cuddle bug. He loves your attention and lots of pets! Buzz also loves playing with toys and loves to catch the occasional stray fly that makes it into the building. He's a blast to watch go after toys and bugs. Meet Cupcake! This sweet momma is ready to find her forever home. She came to us as a transfer with her nursing babies. She is done with motherhood and is ready to live the pampered life. Cupcake is about 2 years old and is as sweet as sugar! She loves getting pets and relaxing. She is very laid back and quiet. She coexists with the other cats at the shelter but it’s pretty independent. She would love a home where she can relax and do her own thing but have lots of love and attention when she wants it. Who doesn’t love a big cheeky tom?! Zeus has won the hearts of staff here at MGHS. He will win yours over too. Zeus came to us with two other cats, who believe are his brothers. We think he and his brother’s are about 2.5 years old. Zeus was shy at first and very scared but he quickly warmed up and showed us his true personality. He is a big love bug! His trademark is his cute cheeks, which he loves to have them scratched. And he gets a lot of those, as they are irresistible to pet! He also loves to be where you are and have your attention. He is even okay with being held and cuddled! Zeus is great with other cats as well. It’s impossible not to fall for this boy! Come by the shelter and meet Zeus, you won’t regret it.

Meet Magnolia!! This sweet girl came to the shelter from North Carolina when she and her babies needed rescuing. This momma has done such a great job raising her babies and was a surrogate to 3 more that came to us without a momma. Now Magnolia is ready to be pampered and spoiled as she is free from her babies and available for adoption. She is a very chatty girl and will let you know how she's feeling. She will meow for you to give her attention if it's been too long without her getting pets. She is a very loving cat and enjoys being held as well. Magnolia would make a perfect cuddle buddy for anyone! She can be cat selective with who she gets along with here at the shelter, so she may thrive best in a house where she is the only animal. Do you love a well dressed cat? Look no further than this boy in a tuxedo, Jared! Not only is he cute as can be, he's also super affectionate and playful. Jared came to the shelter as a transport from Nottaway County, he was reported to be unhappy there in a cage. Since coming to us and having free roam of the shelter most of the time and lots of attention he's been a very happy boy. He just turned a year old so he's still full of kitten energy. He gets along well with other very playful cats at the shelter. If you have a cat at home that could match his energy and wants a playmate Jared would be the perfect addition. You might remember Suzie from a while back as the cat of the week. Sweet Suzie is still looking to find her forever home! She has come out of her shell a bit more since she was last featured. Suzie can still be bashful at first, but is a total love bug once she is comfortable with you! She loves getting head scratches and will flop over for them. If you pull your hand away and she isn’t done with your pets she will gently paw your hand back for more! We know she might not show well at first because she can be shy initially but we are hopeful someone will look past that and give her a chance to shine. Suzie is still a kitten but she doesn’t have the crazy kitten energy so she is the perfect match for someone wanting an adorable older kitten without the crazy kitten zoomies. Don’t forget tomorrow we will be holding a Rabies Clinic from 10am-12pm at the Greene County Technical Education center!! Vaccines will be $25 for one animal or $20 for two or more.
