If you are looking for a barn to provide quality care and feed for your biggest four legged friend contact us! We have all but 3 of our 22 stalls filled. Now accepting applicants to fill these spots!

Located in Ruffin, N.C. on Worsham Mill Road, with easy access on/off US 29, 10 minutes south of Danville and 15 minutes north of Greensboro. We are providing clients and horses with our Showcase Barn equipped with individual stall lights, a hot/cold wash pit., secured tack room, large outside arena, round pen, covered arena, hotwalker, safe fencing all on 105 acres. As if that is not enough, we are providing 24/7 onsite employees and all of this behind a beautiful gate. This includes feeding twice a day, hay, blanketing, and turn in/out. Our pastures are equipped with run in shelters and Richie Water Feeders. We are tailoring our boarding to the needs of you and your horse. Retirement horses are welcome. Wolf Island Stables is committed to a pleasurable environment with mature horsemanship skills. Very clean, well managed, with friendly staff.

Awesome opportunity to be part of a great barn! We will be offering part-time employment beginning September 2024. The hours are from 6-9 am and 5-7 pm. These hours will change according to daylight hours. This position consist of the following but now limited to:

*cleaning stalls
*Turn in/out horses into pasture
*cleaning water buckets
*filling stalls shavings as needed
*prepare stalls for the next rotation
*filling hay bags

Here are the requirements:

*calm disposition
*ability to communicate by voice
*reliable
*honest
*ability to operate at four with a manure spreader
*outgoing and willing to learn
*accept critique and correction
*drivers license
*no drugs/ smoking/criminal record

Equine experience is necessary. Apply in person and be ready for an interview. Hourly pay will be based on experience and a re-evaluation in 30 days at the end of the probation. . Boarding from one to two horses can be considered in lieu of partial pay. Those that apply must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Have the stamina to complete work and focus on the task at hand and not the phone.
