Rio is now Scout! Oandy flew him home to Miami and he’s loving the beach life! “Hey Kata! Sending some pictures your way of his first sleepy day at the beach! He is one of the most well behaved puppies I’ve ever seen in my life my family cant get enough of him. I don’t know what magic you’re doing in NC but it works!
The airplane ride went super well thanks to your advice, the lady next to me didnt even realize there was a puppy in the cabin till I let him poke his head out. No whimpering at all except when I tried to get him to sleep in a crate so I decided to dial back and slowly introduce the crate, otherwise he sleeps the whole night no noise. I discovered he likes to run so it’s been a great way to burn off energy for him otherwise still trying to discover what ways he likes to play.”

Brookie the Rookie has found her forever home! "Kata: it was lovely to meet you and your family! 💙Thank you for trusting us to bring Brooklyn home. We've decided to rename her Seoul in honor of my capital city in South Korea. Seoul is also a homophone for Soul, and we know Blue and Star's baby will be our family's Soul! 🥰"

Seoul is such a perfect name for her, she is a sweet and loving soul and when she hugs you she does it with every part of her body, heart and soul! I'm so happy for her and Eunhae & Patrick 🥰

This makes us so happy 🥰 “We are doing well and little Nova loves our older dog-they wear each other out wrestling and herding each other. The dog trainer is very impressed how quickly Nova learns her commands. Nova is a very happy, curious puppy and she seems to bring a smile to everyone who meets her.”

(Nova’s litter name was “Kat”)

Little Raleigh has settled in to his forever home. He is now called Blue! Just like his Daddy! Because everyone always comments on his eyes 😍 We are so happy for Jim to enjoy this sweet, loving boy.

We only have 4 left out of this litter, 2 boys & 2 girls. They are all very sweet and love snuggles. Rey is definitely an Alfa, Rio is all about physical touch, Brooklyn is sweet as sugar and Sydney wants to play and cuddle in equal measures ❤️ ASDR/AKC-FSS Reg. Ruffin, NC.

This boy loves being king of the castle! Rey is the leader of the pack, if he has it, everyone else wants it! There are a hundred sticks in the yard but the one he picks up is always the best one! He is 12 weeks old today and it’s the perfect time for him to go to a furever home, he’s learned manners from his mom, affection from his dad, how to sit, snuggle and sleep through the night and is doing great with crate training. All puppies go home with ASDR & AKC/FSS registration, health report from vet, proof of vaccine and worming schedule, play toy, chew bone, food, leash & harness! 🐾

We are hanging out on the front porch this morning instead of the back yard because it’s raining and fresh air is good but cold wet puppies is not. As you can see, the fresh air and play time is working a treat! 😆

Today’s featured Velcro pup is Brooklyn ❤️ She is one of the smallest girls in the litter, she is another rare minimal Merle with the Merle patterning present on one of her back legs as well as one front leg and some splashes of white on her back. She is always first to sit to be lifted up on my lap and presses into me for full contact. She cuddles like her Daddy, like she can fill you with love if she could just get pressed up close enough… and she does 🥰

We are teaching the puppies to self sooth. When they go to their new homes it is going to be a big enough change what with leaving their siblings and adjusting to a whole different environment, with new smells, sounds and people. If they are practiced in calming down without the help of a human then they are going to have a better chance than if they are used to getting their comfort and safety only from me or my family. When we’ve made sure that they are fed, exercised and have water but are still calling for attention, we put on the radio for them or this youtube channel and they settle down so quickly! This is a tool that their new families can use very easily and makes a huge difference to settling in process.

Each morning we have quality time with lots of physical touch and words of affirmation. The puppies play with Mom & Dad (sending aunty out through the doggy door where she peeks in to watch the fun from a safe distance) which keeps them distracted while I clean and change out their bedroom. I stay with them, loving on them, praising them when they settle or sit and teaching them “no” when they chew on inappropriate things (like me!). I stay with them till they all settle down and/or fall asleep. It’s a lovely way to start the day and it’s so good for them, teaching them good manners, how to play nicely with humans and that humans are for cuddling as well as play. This breed can become anxious if they aren’t taught how to handle their energy, how to chill when it’s time, so we invest in their future happiness and the happiness of their new families by instilling these important qualities at an early age. 🐾
