TLCAR is a 501c non profit rescue registered in New Jersey & Florida. We run solely off donations & foster homes. Foster homes are families who have opened their hearts & home to an animal in need of a temporary place to stay while they wait for a new family. Our foster pets live normal every day lives interacting with the families and their pets. Foster parents/siblings begin teaching basic train

Thelma Pupdate: Thelma’s surgery went really well and was a success! The large portion of mammary tissue, along with the growths, has been sent off for biopsy, and we’re anxiously awaiting the results. Last night was a bit tough, but Thelma is showing incredible strength.

We’re diligently draining her drain every two hours, logging what we extract and keeping up with her medication schedule. She’ll head back to the hospital on Monday to have the drain removed and the following Monday, we’ll return to get the staples out.

As the day has progressed, she’s been drinking water regularly and even managed to eat some scrambled eggs—progress! We know the next few days will be challenging, but if there’s one thing we know about our Thelma girl, it’s that she is a tough cookie and super resilient!

We are so grateful for all the texts and messages checking in on her. Your support means the world to us, and Thelma knows she has a strong team behind her, cheering her on through this journey. Thank you all.

Say hello to Wally, the newest member of the TLCAR family! When he arrived at Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter, he was severely emaciated and in a fragile state. Thanks to the incredible care of the shelter team, Wally began gaining weight and regaining his strength. However, due to food aggression noted in his temperament test, he could only be released to a rescue partner.

We’re thrilled that a loving foster family saw his story online and instantly fell in love. Even better—they’ve welcomed Wally into a foster-to-adopt situation, meaning his furever home is just around the corner! Welcome home, Wally! 🩵

What an extraordinary beginning to 2025 for our New Jersey team! We launched the year with a heartwarming flourish, finding a foster family to welcome a Mom and her three adorable pups, giving a beautiful silver lab a second chance at life, and securing a hold on a lovely bonded pair of chihuahuas from a local shelter. Mom and pups are blossoming in their foster home, the silver lab is settling into his new forever home, and we can't wait to share more updates and photos soon! We're reminded that saving lives is only possible thanks to the selfless love and support of our amazing foster families who open their hearts and homes to those in need. More information will be posted as our foster families send us pictures and learn their personalities. ‼️‼️URGENT in DELTONA, FL‼️‼️ Spread the word! These 3 happy-go-lucky pups unfortunately need a new place to call home. LOOKING FOR FOSTER, RESCUE OR ADOPTERS. Their humans have to move in with family and can not bring them. All 3 dogs are under 3 years old. They are also Child, Cat and Dog friendly. Already equipped with essential care (fixed and UTD with vaccines and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms). Here are the notes from my convo with her.
