What is Easter? Is it about a silly Easter bunny? Is it about hiding eggs from kids? I would surely hope not!! No no, it’s about a risen savior, that died on a cruel rugged cross that we might live! Jesus blindsided satan with His resurrection, Jesus conquered death, hell, and the grave for us!! Hallelujah what a thought!!

Easter should be celebrated in the mind set that because He is risen, that alone is a promise that someday soon the saved, the born again, are going to be raptured (resurrected), and it was all made possible by Jesus and His Finished Work that He accomplished for us on the Cross! Hallelujah that excites me!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

The apostle Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18, speaking of the rapture of the church:
“But i would not have you to be ignorant brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that you sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.
For this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
❗️For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

What a precious Sunday we had this past Sunday! We celebrated 2 special dates!

We have a beautiful couple who celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary and renewed their vows Sunday! ❤️ What a blessing to see love abound between 2 people who have built a life together and still choose to journey through life’s ups and downs! We thank God for the union He bound together 20 years ago because now, their family of 7, has helped build the congregation of our church!

Secondly, we celebrated JessiAnn’s 9th birthday! 🎉 This kind-hearted, firecracker is such a blessing to us; Not just our family, but to the kingdom of God! She loves Jesus with all her heart and always has a smile or laugh to share!

What an awesome God we serve!

Luke 5: 4-6 Jesus tells Simon (Peter) “Launch out into the deep, and let down your net for a draught” and then we read how Peter was discouraged because they had fished all night and caught nothing but nevertheless he cast out anyway, then the scripture reads, “they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net broke.” Hallelujah!!! What a mighty God we serve! If we would only be obedient to God’s Word, and anchor our faith in Jesus Christ and His Finished Work on the Cross, and believe, only believe, but I think that’s where we struggle, as Christians, is in those two areas, a consecrated life to Jesus and believing, both are so important. Try and get better in those areas of your Christian walk and watch your nets break from the blessings! There was never and never will be a greater Man than Jesus Christ!! Come tomorrow morning at 10:30 to The Cross Family Ministries and learn more about the sea walker, the blind man healer, the l***r cleansing man from Galilee, the King of Kings!! 🙏🏼🙌🏻 2219 Dry Rd.
