With the Thanksgiving holiday upon us, we wanted to share a quick reminder of the dangers of feeding your pets human foods that may be toxic to them. Even the nontoxic human foods usually cause gastrointestinal problems leading to vomiting, diarrhea and pancreatitis. Please love your pets with affection and not table foods.

Our office will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving on Thursday. We will have normal business hours on Friday from 8:00 to 4:00 pm for prescription and food pick ups only.

Russell County, KY — Cumberland Animal Hospital is excited to announce its recent acquisition by Dr. Shantila Rexroat Frazier and Dr. Terri Pettyjohn, both esteemed partners at Adair County Animal Hospital. The purchase took place on September 6, 2024, marking a new chapter in the hospital’s rich history of providing exceptional care to the local community.

Dr. Frazier and Dr. Pettyjohn bring over 50 years of combined experience in veterinary medicine and surgery, ensuring that the high standards of patient care and customer service will not only continue but thrive. Working alongside them is the previous owner, Dr. Teresa Cade, who will remain as the primary veterinarian on staff. Together, they look forward to continuing Cumberland Animal Hospital’s tradition of excellence, providing compassionate and comprehensive care for the pets and families of Russell County.
