I thought to share the first version, the bible text has no mention of the color, so I tried this out before eventually settling on white for the final 30"x40" version that is the cover photo of this site..

Horses of the Bible by CW Nave Copyright 2000
This series of paintings came about from a time of turmoil in my life, when I came to the realization of who I was to Christ, not just who He was to me. He revealed a deep love that astounded me, amazed me with wondrous revelations. In a year’s time, he walked with me through the darkness. There are too many revelations to tell, for during that time, I learned of spiritual warfare and finding peace in God’s promises when He would not be found until His timing was perfect. He taught me the love of a father through my husband, He taught me to stand on the solid rock of His word, including His many promises. The promises that reveal His heart to all of creation, which, when walking in His word, become the most beautiful revelations in all of time. I thank God that through His love, he sent His only Son to bring me to life in the fullest, and revealed Himself to me. I never would want to walk that rocky path again, but in that glorious path, I found His perfect peace in His perfect presence.

"The Wrong Horse"
The Bible explains in several places about putting trust in anything other than Himself. Nothing and no one is more trustworthy than God our Father. Put whatever you have trust in here ________, in place of this "horse". Your army, your defenses. Your bank account, prosperity, wealth, higher education, political power, personal power, beauty, brains, great family, friends. All will eventually fade or be nothing and you will be face to face with Him! Take the time to get to know Him. He is always true, honest, kind, just, merciful and loving. Always the same, yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
