Clarification !!!! What is the difference between the non profit Double Rainbow farm and Mlwstables. Mlwstables is the (creator ) of Double Rainbow Farm . MLW Stables is the one (supporting )Double rainbow farm.
Double Rainbow farm was Originally created to provide children and adults a place to come , expand your mental ,physical,cognitive skills thru the animals here at the facility .
Double Rainbow farm is the place that horses ,Cows ,Ducks,chickens,cats, dogs, goats,sheep, pigs,geese and even Fish Were brought here because there was no other place for them to go.
MLW is the host sight and the financial supporter for Double Rainbow Farm. When the nonprofit does not have funds to support these animals Mlw Stables does , In tune of over( 5,000 a month ).
In turn The animals (horses) are trained rehabilitated to be part of the pony camps, pony Rides, petting zoo, daily interactive support animals for all that come to the facility. Programs For instance,(Firefly program YMCA, Kidsfit YMCA, birthday parties, riding instruction classes,pony camps, visitors from local community homes and their staff)
Double Rainbow Farm supports these animals here by paying a fee per stall occupied (board). This includes farrier fees and minor Veterinarian care (by an agreement with the stables) and at a fraction of the usual boarded horse cost.
Double Rainbow farm has never been able to support all these animals brought here so ( Milton and George) financially assisted in there care farrier, Dentist, grain, hay,
As the years went by we received more horses that NO LONGER FIT THE BILL OF THERE OWNERS OR FACILITIES OR FAMILIES DUE TO FINANCIAL /OR PERSONAL REASONS , they could no longer care for them. Euthanasia is NOT AN OPTION for owners nor for us!!(only for the welfare of the animals if they are suffering).
George and I do not like the statistics (average) of a horse having at least five to seven owners in its lifetime. This is the reason not many horses/animals left here.
Now as we continue to seek funding ,we still do not have funding to keep as many !!!
However, we were fortunate to find homes for some of the horses here, (some ,Personal ) and Facility horse.
In the end if we don’t receive funding thru grants / donation ,Double Rainbow Bow farm Sanctuary, and all the programs that are generated by all these animals will no longer exist!!!!
We do have several Donations given on a month basis for our support a horse program and we are blessed.
We pray as George and I ( do to health reasons) look for someone to continue this farm / the work , the responsibility is overwhelming for one person.
Now its in Gods hands with hope , prayers to find the right person/ people/ family , that can see the potential, and a reason to buy our facility and have the non profit thrive and grow.

So sad the news we got today!! NO GRANTS DOUBLE RAINBOW FARM??? We will be relying on our fund raisers to get money for About 40 animals. Horses , Cows goats, pigglys.
Horses show in Sept (date to be set)
Open house / barn dance in October.
Any suggestions, help. Ideas , funds, bands, (food 4 people) , etc. God has blessed us.
FYI. WE HAVE FOUND HOMES FOR SO MANY HORSES. WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD!!
It appears as I was SOLELY still operating the non profit ( I did not file 990’s). Which caused the tax exempt status to drop?? So thru the support of so many individuals that knew there was a need to assist in funding to CARE FOR the animals, we got our status back. But apparently it was not in time??
Prayers for funding to come.
We are going to need over $ 3,000 just to get our hay HERE. And the price for the that will be delivered is $9,500. We have paid over 9 grand in hay already
God show us the way. !!

This is Bella. She was leased to some irresponsible people that took her on a trail ride , she had fallen ,dislocated her hip. They Rode her for another thirty to forty minutes to get back to stable!!!Poor girl has been lame for 7 months. The lease was void and they were asked to leave!!! If you cannot put you animals over your selfishnesse. You don’t belong here. She is now slowly improving with several chiropractic visits , physical therapy and extra T L C Miss Bella has been adopted by two wonderful people Yvonne and Larry. God is good !!!

This is something everyone should know and UNDERSTAND. ITS NOY A MATTER OF CONVENIENCE. ITS COMMITMENT AND DEDICATION

“Horses are so expensive”
I agree, they cost me a lot every day.

Horses cost you your selfishness.
Having horses means every day you are alive you must consider someone’s needs before your own, multiple times a day. Even when you’re away from them arrangements must be made, this builds character and gives us self-worth.

Horses cost you your ego.
Right when you think you have it figured out, you will undoubtedly be presented with a humbling experience either in the arena or out. They will force you to reach out for help when your expertise is maxed out. If you are wise, you will realize life is like this too. Maybe we should reach out for help more frequently and we would get further.

Horses cost you your laziness.
You will never progress with an equine partner by leaving it turned out, just as you will never progress by staying checked out. Do the work and you will get somewhere.

Horses cost you your heart.
They never fail to find a way to touch us deep within even (and especially) when we are feeling cold to the ways of the world. There’s something special about getting to interact with a being that becomes softer when we soften. We should learn to respond to one another similarly.

Yes, horses are so expensive. But everything they’ve ever cost me has also made me 👏🏻

DOUBLE RAINBOW FARM. IS LOOKING FOR SOME RELIABLE VOLUNTEERS. 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at least three days a week. And same hours on Sunday for barn cleaning. Evening hours 5pm -7pm assist with evening chores. Water,feed , hay,groom We MUST have a dedicated volunteer base.

🎄Introducing Our Third Horses of Christmas….ZOEY & AGGIE
They are Halflinger Cross and have been with us for 3 years! Zoey is great with kids and a do or it’s at our pony camps. Aggie is beautiful and requires an experienced rider.
🎅🏼Rescue Story: They we’re about to be put down and a family called us in to rescue them! They are a great pair of horses and love our farm as much as we love them.
🎉Zoey is great with inexperienced riders and children. She is patient and gentle to ride and would make a terrific starting horse. Aggie is hard to turn and a little set in her ways but a joy to ride for a more experienced rider. Both are in NEED of Someone to Love and Cherish Them!

He is a Percheron ,20 years old with a great personality.
🎅🏼Rescue Story: He was with a family that could no longer provide for him. Jeffery needed a new home and found his way to our patient and caring staff!
🎉He is beautiful, healthy, and has a big personality to match his size. He needs an experienced rider with confidence to ride a big horse and understanding to give him calming energy!❤️

He is a Saddlebred,13 years old with a perky personality.
🎅🏼Rescue Story: He was in a car accident, which left him very nervous. He went to a show, got excited and flopped over. It caused him to break his tale and couldn’t be shown anymore. Happy needed a new home and found his way to our patient and caring staff!
🎉He is beautiful, perky, and healthy. He needs an experienced rider with patience and understanding to bring him the home feeling.❤️
