Update on Jade. She is very happy with her new home! She is a very calm and sweet girl full of love.
Unfortunately some disturbing news has come to light.
According to Russellville Animal Shelter, she was taken by animal control back in April for abuse. She had multiple old broken bones and was malnutritioned. She spent 2 or 3 days at the vet eating and getting better. The people who were going to testify against the owner decided not to and he demanded the dog back. The shelter didn’t have a choice even though they had proof of abuse.
On May 20th, her owners son reached out that he needed immediate help with Jade as there was a family emergency. Turns out her owner had gone to jail and is facing very serious charges. We were able to quickly rehomed her to a very loving family who already owns her older sister, Dream!
On Tuesday May 28th, Jade had a scheduled vet visit. They did many tests and exams. An Xray showed many broken bones and severe malnourishment. She is going to need surgery. The new owner was not expecting this financial situation.
We are asking for any assistance to help the family with this sweet girl.
