622!! 622 days waiting for his forever family! And on 10/27 at yet another PetSmart adoption event, it was Taki’s day to find his people and fur brother Cibbl. ❣️This is what rescue and fostering is all about. Love them like they are yours until they find their forever. Yesterday the stars aligned perfectly for that to happen. Started with a “wanna foster” text and ended with his forever. My heart is so happy to see this journey begin for you. You will be missed. Happy life sweet boy. 💙

As most of you know, every fall and winter BFAR gives out free straw to the community animals in need. Please help us help the dogs and cats stay warm this winter. With your donations we were able to help over 200 animals last year and we would love to do the same again this year. We need $900.00 to stock the barn and get ready to help.

MEET OUR NEWEST INTAKES!!

This is Momma and her 6 babies we pulled from a high kill shelter in eastern Kentucky. As you know we work with an amazing network of rescues in the Chicago area. Kim Morgan has helped BFAR since 2016 by pulling dogs from us that we have a hard time getting adopted or we don’t have room for at BFAR. She has a foster based rescue and a huge network of other rescues that we are so fortunate and grateful to be a part of. When she found out this mom and babies were at a shelter and on the euthanasia list she reached out to see if BFAR could help. Her rescue and the others in the network are all full this week after just having a transport of dogs brought in. Even though we are full and our medical fund is once again depleted, of course we said yes! How could we not? Kim has helped us rehome hundreds of dogs and puppies and this was a favor we could easily say yes to and not only that, I mean look at this sweet mom and her precious babies! 💕💕💕

WE NEED NAMES!! You all know we like theme names so let’s see your favorites. Mom needs a name and she has 4 boys and 2 girls.
