Rex (with the hat) was the first dog BFAR pulled from Simpson County Animal Shelter 8 years ago. He went from intentionally being starved to having the most fabulous home and adventures! He and Tom were both adopted from us. This is why it’s so important that rescues and shelters work together to save animals. BFAR is so blessed to be a part of an amazing animal welfare network, it’s how we are able to help as many as we do ❤️❤️

PUPDATE: I stole the first photo from Mr. Nugget Taki Toast Hagan mom’s page! ❣️ Just look at those smiles on his face. 7 days into the rest of his life with his perfect forever family! He was always meant to be theirs!

622!! 622 days waiting for his forever family! And on 10/27 at yet another PetSmart adoption event, it was Taki’s day to find his people and fur brother Cibbl. ❣️This is what rescue and fostering is all about. Love them like they are yours until they find their forever. Yesterday the stars aligned perfectly for that to happen. Started with a “wanna foster” text and ended with his forever. My heart is so happy to see this journey begin for you. You will be missed. Happy life sweet boy. 💙

As most of you know, every fall and winter BFAR gives out free straw to the community animals in need. Please help us help the dogs and cats stay warm this winter. With your donations we were able to help over 200 animals last year and we would love to do the same again this year. We need $900.00 to stock the barn and get ready to help.
