💙💙Remember BUDDY?!! Found extremely emaciated, anemic, starving, skin issues, and ye**ty on the streets of Ruston (top left)?!!💙💙

Another reason why our local officials need to STEP UP!!!!! Spay/neuter laws, leash laws, & cracking down on animal neglect & abuse would PREVENT situations like this!!

Buddy now (bottom) has been with 4 Paws for 6 weeks & is thriving!!! His hair has grown back and he is loving life!! He has been neutered, UTD on vacs, & thankfully is HW negative!!! The only thing missing is his FUREVER HOME!!!!

LILO is going on a sleepover! All our dogs are available to go on a day or an overnight stay. $5/day, $10/night. We don't know who enjoys it more , our dogs or our people!🐶

We NEVER give up on a dog. 🐶🐶 Bella, the brindle beauty, was just adopted by a wonderful family after spending 2 YEARS & 8 MONTHS at 4 Paws!! That is 995 days at a shelter!! Bella was originally rescued from a very short, heavy truck chain at an abandoned trailer. This girl loves to run & play with her new fur sibling, and she loves giving 💋💋 to her new mom & dad. THANK YOU FOR ADOPTING!!!!!❤️❤️❤️

Thanks to the Lincoln Parish Sheriff and Probation department for the huge donation of dog food given to 4 Paws today. We have plenty to share with the public. Come by our shelter at 290 Rodeo Road for free dog food. 🐶🍖

Our 3rd FREE Pet Wellness Weekend hosted by PAWS of NE LA and sponsored by RedRover is 2 weeks away! 🎉

PLEASE READ if you are planning on attending and share with fellow pet owners in NE LA.

🐾When is the event?🐾
Friday, November 8th from 8am-12pm and Saturday, November 9th from 9am-4pm

🐾Where is the event?🐾
Whites Ferry Road Church at 3201 N 7th Street in West Monroe. This will be a drive thru event, with everyone staying in line, in their cars, until they reach the vet station under the church’s portico. Please pull into the parking lot at the PAWS tent/check in station. We will have volunteers there giving out paperwork and directing folks where to go.

🐾What is being offered for FREE?🐾
Rabies vaccines for dogs and cats. DAPP vaccines for dogs. RCP+Ch vaccines for cats. Engraved pet ID tags. Flea/tick medication. Pet supplies (collars, leashes, food, toys). Pet behavior consultations. Everything will be given out as long as supplies last so come early if you can.

🐾What about the FREE spay/neuter vouchers? Very important!🐾
We have a limited number of vouchers sponsored by Red Rover. We will also be issuing vouchers from our regular PAWS Spay/Neuter Assistance Program on site. To increase your chances of getting a surgery voucher, PLEASE bring PROOF OF INCOME (2 consecutive pay stubs, social security benefits, or government assistance letter or card for Medicaid and/or SNAP).

🐾Important things you need to know on the day of the event:🐾
• Please bring cats in carriers (or contained in some way). We will have a limited number of cat carriers available to be used to get cats from cars to the vet station if needed.
• Please bring dogs on leash or crated. We have slip leashes for dogs to use.
• We know the event may be stressful for your pet, so please let a volunteer know if you think they may show any signs of fear aggression. We will have muzzles available. Please do not let your pet interact with other pets at the event.
• A volunteer will greet you in the parking lot upon arrival and you will fill out paperwork in your car. We can even help you fill out the paperwork if needed!
• Please be patient. We are expecting a big turnout, and the event is being put on by volunteers.

🐾Who will be giving my pet(s) the vaccinations?🐾
A wonderful local Veterinarians and vet techs are donating their time for this event to take care of your pet(s). Please make sure to thank them!

🐾Do I have to live in a certain Parish to be able to come to the event?🐾
No! Anyone in need is welcome as long as you are willing/able to drive to West Monroe.

🐾Does my pet have to come to the event?🐾
That depends… if you only need an ID tag, pet supplies, and/or surgery voucher, they do not have to come. For all other free services, the pet has to be present.

🐾How can I help with this event?🐾

💙❤️🩷💜T.G.I.F!!! Let’s celebrate our Dogs of the Day!!❤️🩷💜💙

1. Seastar (left)- this social butterfly was found at the dumpster this past winter during the freeze. She was with her buddy, ZZ. 4 Paws took them in during the freeze, and they have been thriving ever since! Seastar & ZZ are BFFs & we really want to find them a home together. The adoption fee for both babies is $160.
2. Buddy (top right)- this gorgeous boy was the poor guy found starving within the Ruston City Limits. RAC wouldn’t take him in since they “don’t take in sick or injured animals” so Buddy came to us!! He has gotten stronger & is doing so well!!! This boy is so sweet!!!
3. Kiba (bottom right)- Kiba is the kindest boy!!! All he wants to do is play & give kisses to volunteers!! He is 1 year old, neutered, & looking for his forever home!!

4 Paws is open Tuesday-Saturday 11a-3p!!

🩷💜🩷💜Fergie is up for adoption!!! She is under a year old and so adorably sweet!!!🩷💜🩷💜

She loves playing with other dogs and would do well with kids. She loves snuggling with her human friends too. She has started her vaccines & will be spayed next week. She will be returning to the shelter tomorrow from her foster home.

Our first Pups for Patriots, Beau, has been chosen to be trained at Top Gun training facility. After training he will be given to a deserving veteran. We're so excited to be partnering with P4P and Top Gun in training and donating a companion to our wonderful patriots.
