💥You can’t fit a square peg into a round hole💥
The shape of your horse determines the shape of the saddle tree! If your saddle tree is not the same shape as your horse:
➡️ultimately your horse will not be able to move correctly
➡️may likely develop soundness and behavioral problems
➡️the saddle will become unstable, causing a myriad of problems for horse and rider.
🔴 BREED DOES NOT DETERMINE TREE SHAPE!!!
What does determine tree shape is your horses conformation: shoulder angle, wither size, spine width, back shape, rib shelf slope, etc.
It is important to discuss with your saddle fitter wether the shape of the tree will match your horses back. Not just upfront, but throughout the length as well.
❌Changing the panels, reshaping the foam, or flocking will not correct an incorrect shaped tree!

I have a couple lesson spots available on Wednesday January 8 at Oakdale Equestrian Center if anyone is interested. There’s an indoor, dressage and jump arenas as well as a XC course. $65 for a private and $55 for a group of 2-3 (you only pay a facility fee if you use the xc course)

Located in the heart of Central Virginia in Powhatan County. Oakdale Equestrian Center is a full care, top-notch boarding facility with all the amenities. We have miles of trails, numerous arenas & a full XC course. There is something for everyone!

Breaking News! Race dates for the 2025 thoroughbred season at Colonial Downs were approved today at the Virginia Racing Commission's monthly meeting! A 3-day spring meet will be held March 13-15 with the 22nd running of the Virginia Derby, on dirt, slated for the 15th as a major Kentucky Derby prep race. A 41-day summer meet will extend over a 10-week period from July 9 - September 13 with racing every Wednesday thru Saturday. Post time is 12:30 PM except on Fridays when first post will be at 4 PM. There will be a special card on Labor Day as well!

We had a fabulous last competition of the year at Calais Horse trials! Olivia Rascal and Lil Rascal won the BN wire to wire. Caroline Ware and Drakaina won their dressage but had a TE on XC. Peyton Freeman and RF Chaucer also won the starter from wire to wire! Lots of good rides, blue ribbons and good friends!
