💐 💐 Lilies, often included in Valentine's Day bouquets, are highly toxic to cats. Daffodil bulbs, hydrangeas, tulips and carnations are also toxic to pets.
⚠️ Symptoms can include: Excessive drooling, tremors, lethargy, respiratory distress, vomiting and diarrhea are signs that a pet has ingested a toxic flower or plant part.
🐾 Pet-friendly alternatives include sunflowers, pansies, snapdragons and freesias. 🐾💐

Many of you have asked us about Avian Flu. Here is the most recent information from the American Veterinary Medical Association:

A growing number of house cats have been infected with highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza by consuming infected raw food or unpasteurized milk, raising concerns about pets as intermediate hosts between birds or cows and humans. Even without the additional risk from avian influenza, veterinarians discourage feeding pets raw meat or unpasteurized milk because they pose risks for salmonellosis, listeriosis and other foodborne diseases.
