Meet Tally! She is a 3 year old spayed female. She has been with us through the summer, and is eager to leave the clinic and find her forever home! Tally is a very sweet girl, likes to be around people, but does not like dogs or other cats...so she'll need to fly solo if she's going to live with you!
Check out the photos and video(s) below, and if you're at all interested in giving this sweet girl a place to call her own, please call the clinic to set up a meeting with her!

Now that cooler weather has arrived, it's important to thoroughly check your dogs and cats for ticks! The first image shows areas where they like to hide on your pet(s), and the second shows just how small they can be when they are in the nymph stage. If your pet is not on tick and flea prevention, we recommend starting that as soon as possible to keep them protected.

It is important to remember that NO products are 100% effective at preventing bites or transfer of disease. As they say: an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, so using preventives and checking your pets thoroughly is key!

Hi Folks! Just wanted to share

YES- MASKS ARE STILL REQUIRED IN THE BUILDING. Please do not give us a hard time, we're exhausted. Please do not argue that you are fully vaccinated, we will not budge. If you prefer not to wear a mask, you may wait in your vehicle during your pet's appointment. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE.

If Dr. Bruce gets COVID, the clinic will not be able to operate!!!

YES- The waiting room is still closed. ALL CARD PAYMENTS must be made over the phone. If you're paying with cash, please let the Dr. know while you're in the room and we can take payment from the exam room. Please do not stop at the front desk/lobby as we will ask you to call from your vehicle.

YES- We are EXTREMELY busy, as are most animal clinics right now. Please remember that we are also an EMERGENCY clinic, and one of the only clinics in the area that is taking emergencies. Because of this, the wait time for your appointment could be up to THREE HOURS.

Most importantly, please remember that we are doing the best we can. We are all in this together, and we're all just trying to stay safe, healthy, and survive this pandemic!

Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation!

Regarding June statements:

We had a glitch in our software program when printing statements that resulted in activity from 5/17/21 thru 6/13-6/14/21 being left out.

Any payment you may have made during that time is still in our system.

If you have not received your statement yet, it is on it's way.

Holiday Weekend Hours/Information:
The office will be closed on Sunday July 4th. We will not be open for any routine services (pick-up/drop off, med. refills, appointments, etc.)
If you see vehicles at the clinic, they are employees, or patients being seen on emergency.
There will be no staff available to assist with regular services.
Additionally, there are no more kennel spaces available for this weekend, and we do not have a waiting list.

Hello All,
In an effort to continue to help reduce the spread and transmission of COVID, we are still requiring masks in the building. This applies to ALL individuals- vaccinated or not- as there are many people who are not vaccinated yet, or who are unable to be vaccinated.

Thank you for your cooperation.

We understand how frustrating it can be to wait, and wait, and wait...but we really are doing our best, and we hope that it is apparent to all of you :)

Recent press release from the American Animal Hospital Association re: our recent reaccreditation! (We're a bit late sharing this!)

"FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: NOVEMBER 18, 2020"

"Eastwood Animal Clinic Earns Accreditation from Top Veterinary Association. Less than 15% of small-animal hospitals in the US and Canada achieve AAHA accreditation.

[Rutland Vermont]—Eastwood Animal Clinic is proud to announce that it has achieved the highest level of veterinary excellence following evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Eastwood Animal Clinic earned AAHA accreditation after a rigorous review of the hospital’s practice protocols, medical equipment, facility, and client service.

Unlike human hospitals, not all animal hospitals are required to be accredited. Pet owners can trust that an AAHA-accredited hospital follows the AAHA Standards of Accreditation, which are continuously reviewed and updated by leaders in the veterinary profession to reflect changing best practices from the cutting edge of veterinary medicine.

AAHA-accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry because they voluntarily choose to be evaluated on more than 900 quality standards that go above and beyond state regulations, ranging from patient care and pain management to staff training and advanced diagnostic services.

[Small Animal & Exotic, General Medicine, General Surgery (with Laser), Emergency, Therapeutic Laser, Ultra Sound, Reproduction, Boarding & Grooming]

Not a local? Use the AAHA-Accredited Hospital Locator to find AAHA-accredited hospitals in your area. For more information about accreditation, visit aaha.org or connect on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn."
