My husband and I decided it was time to change our lives. We were healthy and capable
To look for new jobs, have fun and live the dream. Not as easy as it sounds. First: Selling all the things I treasured and worked hard for. Not easy to do, all my stuff being sold for pennies. Being very sick for 8 months, Major sinus/bronchitis issues
Being apart from my husband for 5 months (he was in Florida getting our new house ready) while I sold our old life away. Showing, my house to sell and having yard sales, 4 of them. Try to keep the house clean doing that. Having my beautiful baby girl Siberian Husky Die. "AJA" (was her name after the Steely Dan song.) Having a Sinus Surgery
Not yet being able to sell my home
Leaving a Job I loved where I made great money, had great benefits, and a great work family. I miss them so much. To having a going away party, cooking everything left in the refrigerator and feeding about 35 people. Saying good-by to my home, church, family, and friends and to the job I loved. It was all an emotional drain on my heart and soul! Could I have changed my mind? Yes, but it was time for a change, time to get out of my comfort zone. Time to start a new life. So there I was the day after my going away party at 21% below 0. Packing my 1998 Red Jeep with 236,000. Mile, Crying in the driveway while, My German Shepherd licked my tears. There I was alone saying Goodbye to the LIFE I LOVED, hoping for a new adventure. Merritt Island here I come I'm ready to start a new chapter in my life. One and a half years later;
I was unable to find a job, at least one I loved. Why would I have thought I could replace what I had, crazy me. Which brings me to now:
I decided to create a business: “MyDogSwag”
All because my German Shepherd "Mr. Bronson" was having a hard time adjusting to his environment. He had formed Calluses on his elbow, come to find out the reason he had calluses was he was laying on ceramic tile floors, and concrete patios which are hard, cold, and have a rough surface, something Mr. Bronson wasn't use to. He always laid on a therapy bed, or the carpet. It was a big adjust for my big boy. Anyway, each time he laid down he would take a blow to the elbow creating the elbow to calluses up get raw and look sore. Of course he would lick it incessantly causing it to bleed. I did take him to the vets office they said he would be fine. No he is not fine! So I tried everything to heal his wounds. Elbow pads, knee pads, wrapping his elbow in bandages, I even tried heel cups on his elbows. Nothing would stick on his fur, or he would tear them off anything that was wrapped around his elbow
I was concerned his elbow would get infected because now they were bleeding. I know my dog, I was hurting for him, and feeling desperate. So my last resort: I would make something to accommodate his needs. Walla the K-9 Callus Cuff
Within a month of wearing this device his calluses had healed up and the fur started growing back
Mr. Bronson is as handsome as ever.

This product has been a game changer for my dog who has elbow issues. I went through so many online products that did not work well or were not the proper size. Bonny is wonderful, the level of commitment and caring she demonstrates is amazing and she worked with us personally to help make the elbow pads perfect for our giant lab. I only wish I had known about her product sooner. Definitely improves quality of life for our dog. Wash and dry easily. Excellent quality. Excellent customer service. Dog does not care that it is on (perhaps likes it) If you have a problem with your dogs elbows, buy this product. I have purchased more than one.

Hi Bonny,

Thank you so much for making such high quality elbow pads for our black Lab Cosmo. He has Cushing's syndrome and having more skin issues so it's great to have these to protect his elbow calluses. He's 85 lbs and the large size is very loose but I like this as I can tell there's minimal change of chafing and so I'm comfortable having him wear them for long periods of time.
I also think he looks very handsome in them!

Odin's had a hygroma/callus on his elbow and each time Odin laid down he would hit the elbow just right and a hygroma formed..
Once the hygroma opens on the elbow it is very hard for the elbow to heal.
The K-9 Callus/Hygroma cuff is a padded sleeve that protects the elbow. Now each time ODIN lays down, his elbows are protected from hard surfaces.
The padded sleeve not only protects the elbow but air flow allows the elbow to heal while being protected.

Now "ODIN" and his owner are happy campers

Feel free to use any images of your Great product on Yogi along with the cheap alternative that didn’t work. The elbow sore he continued to aggravate on concrete and hard surfaces until today will subside with MYDOGSWAG elbow guards in no time. Our Veterinarian this week said to continue with elbow protection use.

Our Story

My Story MyDogSway was born all because my German Shepherd "Mr. Bronson" was having a hard time adjusting to his new environment (We used to live in NH). He had formed calluses on his elbows because he was dropping down on hard ceramic tile floors, and concrete patios, which we all know are hard, cold, and have a rough surface. Mr. Bronson was used to comfy carpeting! Each time he laid down he would take a blow to the elbow creating the elbow to callus up, get raw and look sore. None of this was made better by his incessant licking of the wound; causing it to bleed. Florida a big adjustment for my best friend! I did take him to the vets office they said he would be fine, but this dog is like a family member; I was not satisfied with him being “just fine”! I tried everything to heal his wounds. Elbow pads, knee pads, wrapping his elbow in bandages, I even tried heel cups on his elbows. Nothing would stay in place and he would tear off anything that was wrapped around his elbow. I was starting to get really concerned that his elbow would get infected because of the bleeding, opening of the wound, licking and repeated blows to the wound by plopping down on the tile. I know my dog, I was hurting for him, and feeling desperate. So my last resort was to design and sew something to accommodate his needs. That is how the MyDogSwag K-9 Callus Cuff was born! Within a month of wearing this device his calluses had healed up and the fur started growing back Mr. Bronson is as handsome as ever. I wanted to share what I made with other dog parents out there!
