Hey Ruff-Roadz fam!

Finally, I have updates to share! I’m so thankful for all of the messages, words of encouragement, gifts sent to the house & for all of you!! Thank you!

Unfortunately, we are still closed & it looks like I may not be able to see clients again until sometime in 2024. I’m so sorry for this inconvenience. I hope that everyone is doing well with their pups. If you need any help at all, please look at the Training Without Conflict website. It is full of the best tutorial videos & certified trainers around. I’m not certified with them but I fully support their system & believe that they are the most qualified to help with whatever anyone should need.

I’ll share much more later but I’m so thankful for my teacher in TWC. I’m very hopeful for the future & seriously cannot wait to get back to work!! Remi is working her tail off lately & she’s been so helpful, as is everyone who has chipped in the last couple of months around here. I hope to see you all soon & hope you’re all enjoying the fall weather with your dogs 🐾

👏👏👏Awesome news!! Gooo team Yoda! We’ve received so many messages and have seen so many posts praising Yoda, the Belgian Malinois K9 who captured the convicted murderer in the area yesterday. It’s been really cool to see everyone praising him for his great work! He was trained extremely well to perform the way he performed. As stated in the shared post - this is exactly why it’s absolutely necessary that dog training tools and proper training methods are maintained.

Thanks to Yoda, and all involved, we can finally stop checking our property cameras before we go out in the morning, which hasn’t been a fun chore for me at all. It’s been a long couple of weeks but thankfully the neighborhood gets to sleep a bit more soundly now! 🙏🐾

Pilot gets an A for effort! 🏆

This big puppy has been learning so many things & doing a great job!

He had previously been getting frustrated with play, as he grew very quickly and he is trying to get used to his longer limbs. In order to ensure he continues to get out his energy in a healthy way, we began to teach him a game in order to help with his development. Here, we were working on the “catch” signal and how to catch well so that his family can play Chase & Catch (TWC) with him!

Roxy is obsessed with her new toy & loves her walks now 🐾 she wasn’t able to go on walks, due to leash reactivity, for a while but she’s doing great. 2 dogs almost bust through their fence at us and Miss Roxy kept her cool while I, on the other hand, wanted to run away 😂 we made it home just fine though and then played another game with the Wubba ❤️

Working on her confidence around other dogs & strangers! We’ve been working together for about 1.5 months now & today was her 2nd time at Ruff-Roadz. She excelled in circle tracking and also started exploring the agility equipment! She ran onto the dog walk, jumped onto the Blue9 Klimb and even tried the seesaw today!! 🤩

We’re so proud of her and how brave she has been! Her mom is doing an amazing job working with her & doing their homework each week! 💖

🫶 Yes! There is much more to training dogs than what your average “trainer” does. Teaching “sit”, “down” & other behaviors is extremely simple stuff but to develop an agreement through play, while also satisfying a dogs genetic predispositions, takes serious knowledge about training, dogs AND behavior. Ivan Balabanov understands & teaches on a deeper level than anyone we’ve met or watched work with dogs. We’re truly grateful to be in the TWC course & to learn concepts from the best. Although we still need to pass exams - we’ve grown so much through the Training Without Conflict program. The course has pushed my husband and I to be the best we can be for the pups. Every dog trainer should invest in the course, if not to gain certification, at least to gain as much real knowledge and skill as humanly possible. Our precious pups are worth it!!! 🐾

Puppy play & train day 💝

We do human training more than anything around here 🤣

Miss Daisy 🤍 this lovely ladies parents contacted Ruff-Roadz when she was just 10 weeks old to get started off on the right paw! They’d already done a wonderful job with training for the short time they had her. She was already waiting for food up for to 30 seconds when I first started working with her! How impressive!! We’ve been working on the loose-leash walk, no jumping on us, appropriate play, taming those tiny teeth & real life skills. 👏Her parents are working hard every day to help her develop the skills she needs to continue growing into a happy and confident dog! Look at them go!

I used to bring Luna to the vet with 2 leashes on. Two different types of equipment to keep the bucking bronco from getting loose. She was so scared of life, we’d go in and she’d be skidding across the floor, shaking and peeing herself. God forbid a person LOOKED her way! Shed bark uncontrollably, lunge, etc…getting to the actual office was like going through war for her. I’m so thankful for behavior modification and our amazing vet Dr. Vaitkus, his old team at Banfield & now his new team at Heart + Paw. You guys are absolutely outstanding 👏💖 It’s so nice that other people are now able to get close enough to see what a gorgeous girl Luna really is!! Thank you Heart+Paw for creating such a wonderful, stress-free environment and for being so patient with Luna today💖

Morning romp sesh is a little different today 😔 Please send Luna your prayers and well wishes. She hurt her back leg last night playing, I hope it’s not her knee but it doesn’t look good the way she’s favoring it. Thank you so much @heartandpaw for squeezing us in!!!
