Ries Retrievers and Goldendoodles

For many years, the Ries family raised and shared their lovable Golden Retrievers with family and new friends from across the U.S. Unfortunately, our male Retriever, Jake, continued to get older and eventually was unable to get "the job" done for his girlfriends. Consequently, we haven't been able to offer puppies for many years, as we weren't about to replace him. Over that time, it was Jake, Min

dy, and Lola who roamed the Ries farm. These three deemed themselves as the Welcoming Committee to anyone who drove in the driveway, and took their job very seriously. One day, they even welcomed a sweet (pesky) Mini-GoldenDoodle named Lucky, who quickly became best friends with Lola. However, Lucky would only come on holidays and special occasions, as he lives with Vince and Erica Ries in Urbandale, IA. It is there that he has made lots of friends and is very well-known in the neighborhood. After the unfortunate passing of Jake, it was Lucky who was called on to console "The Girls". So, when the day came that Lola was in heat, it was decided to "give it a shot" and see if they could make puppies. A couple of months later, it happened. Today, there are:

(6) Girls

We can't promise what their full grown size will be, as Lucky exceeded his "mini" status. Lucky's mom: 28 lb mini-goldendoodle (F1)
Lucky's dad: 22 lb miniature poodle

Lucky: 39 lbs (biggest of his siblings) (F1B)
Lola: 60-65 lbs (pretty standard for our Retrievers) (AKC Registered)

With this, the puppies will likely grow to be somewhere in between (probably 45-55 lbs) (F1B)
