Sweet Bubba is never too impressed to be away from his mum but he’s an angel and his face melts my soul. At 11 years old I don’t blame him and am just grateful for his patience. 🤗

We’ve been looking forward to introducing our newest team member, Fallon! She has been helping us get back on track with scheduling and calls, and has been incredible at keeping the salon clean and beautiful.

We do, however, have bigger goals and a special promotion for this month! Fallon has 5 years of pet care experience and a passionate love for dogs. She has been shadowing us here during our bathing and haircutting and her intuition, kindness and gentle touch are a perfect fit for our style.

Fallon is in her final year of studying biotechnology and chemistry at USM and for a time, had to step back from the pet industry to focus on school. She now has an opportunity to bring her love for pet care back into her life and we are excited to announce that she is in training for bathing and nail services with myself, Amelia, as her mentor. Her natural talent is obvious and we want to help that blossom.

For the month of August we are doing a special rate for dog baths booked with Fallon who will be accompanied by myself. To start, we are offering these appointments on Friday the 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th. These appointments will not include any hair cutting and are best for short haired dogs or dog breeds that need up to moderate deshedding but whose coats are not matted or badly impacted. We are offering an exciting $25 off our normal rate. The bath services will include ear cleaning, nail grinding or clipping, teeth brushing and our premium quality shampoos, conditioners and coat masks as usual.

Please spread the word and reach out to see if your pup would be a good fit for Fallon and I. We will make another streamlined post to restate the promotion details soon.

A very happy update:

My little family and I are settled into our new home. It's a lovely place right here in S**o, the community I love! My new landlords are kind, and so worth the wait. I am really lucky and now I get to divert my energy back into building things up at the salon again. I've been grooming still throughout this whole ordeal but now I feel capable to address some things I've been eager for - especially regarding the FB page itself. Keep an eye out for:

Hello Everyone!

I know it has been quite some time since I posted, and many of you have already been experiencing how difficult it can be more often than not to get in contact. It has been a rough couple of months and I am so grateful for your continued patience and for every moment I get to spend with your dogs. Last month we almost had to close down for an extended period of time because of unexpected heat and humidity issues in the salon. Thankfully the majority of those issues are now under control.

As a new development, my little family of my 3 pets, my boyfriend and myself are about to lose our home due to our landlord deciding to sell. We were given 30 day notice, but with our full work schedules, my responsibilities growing and caring for the salon top to bottom and the fact that the rental market is currently scary and difficult, we’ve been feeling faceless and anxious in a sea of so many people probably feeling the same, trying desperately to find a roof for our heads. It’s been a struggle just to get responses from listings and receive a moment, a chance to sell ourselves and try to stand out.

If I’m taking long to respond to your inquiry, or answer current client calls and questions, please know I am catching up on my ever growing list as fast as I can. It doesn’t mean I expect you all to wait on me, but I do need you to know I care about you deeply. It’s going to be hard to schedule for the rest of June. If you feel it’s been too long since you’ve heard back, the biggest, most kind favor you could do for me is to call again, call more or visit in person. The second greatest thing that would help us is for our current regulars to pre-book as far out as is comfortable. Not only are we booking out further in general because of the community's support, love, referrals and recommendations, but I also need time reserved here and there to apartment hunt this month and ensure my pets and myself don’t become homeless for any period of time. We only have until July 8th. I am also looking for part-time help for catching up with calls and requests. I feel I have to be vulnerable for a moment and admit that I am having a very hard time keeping up with everything and I am overwhelmed. Where I’m most confident, is knowing that I love you all and promise I will solve this and be back in action and better than ever very soon.

Look at these beautiful babies. Their mum has been with me from the beginning of my journey and the way she entrusts me with their care, as all of you do with your pups as well, makes me feel like the luckiest gal out there. These sweethearts were amazing, as usual, and we gave Cuya, a bernadoodle puppy, her first ever haircut. She’s a wonderful puppy and we loooove to keep her hair long and flowing. She’s so brave and I was endlessly proud of her.

It is so important to allow puppies to get used to grooming in their own time so we can set them up for a lifetime of success. Here at Happy Feet, your puppies’ mental wellbeing is first and foremost in our mind. We will always personalize their journey to their first haircut because nothing is better than watching a puppy discover that grooming is safe, feels great and that their groomer loves them and wants to be an integral part of their life!
