Feeling pretty good today! It has been 6 days since my injury and the swelling has gone down immensely, the puncture wounds are healing well, and the bruising is starting to yellow. I did have a fever and infection on day 2, but the antibiotics took care of that quickly. Pain is minimal now as long as I don't bump into anything or try to overdo it. My right hand is doing great, the middle finger is still stiff and swollen, but the feeling is back for the most part. I still don't have full range of motion in either hand, but I have been stretching and exercising my fingers and wrist regularly to promote dexterity. If all goes to plan I will be back to work by October!

Good morning everyone.
Yesterday I had an emergency room visit for dog bites on my hands and wrists. These injuries are severe and will take time to recover from. I won't know a more specific timeline until the swelling subsides and my range of motion can be better evaluated. Thankfully the imaging came back with no fractures, just soft tissue damage. It is safe to assume that I will be unable to groom for the next few weeks. Unfortunately this means I must clear my schedule for September.
I would prefer to reschedule all clients starting the second week of October. I also completely understand if clients would prefer to cancel and seek another grooming service in a more timely manner. My priority as your pets' groomer is what is best for your pets. You can check the Mobile Groomer Directory page on our website for references and if you need further assistance I can check my other grooming contacts for availability. I will be contacting clients individually to accommodate their scheduling needs. Any retainer fees collected can either be transferred to the following appointment or refunded at the clients discretion. Please let me know your preferences.

He enjoyed a lap around the van to explore all the cubbies and tools after his groom.
