Yesterday in my travels there were quite a few people stranded or going stand by due to delays or cancellations. A gentleman approached the waiting area at my gate and made an announcement the he had Autism and was still at the airport. His card had no money on it and it would cost around $140 for a room. As I watched a few people give him money, I proudly stood up and asked him how much more he needed. He said $68. I gave him $20 and announced how much more he needed. At this point, others got up to donate and within a few he had enough.

What I noticed is there are so many who would like to help, but are afraid to. Who knows the reasons, I am sure there are many different ones. But it was nice to see once someone stepped up to help, then they found the courage to.

Please don’t be afraid to be that one person to come forward
