Today is the final day to participate in the 2024 Big Day of Giving event!

Your donation will be used to improve the lives of animals in our community.

Our focus is on homeless animals which include senior and feral, animals that were abandoned, physically abused and/or malnourished, and those with leukemia and feline aids. The animals we rescue are restored to health and, if not adopted live at our cage-free animal sanctuary for the rest of their natural lives.

A success story: It is amazing what we can learn from animals.

Aubrey, very pregnant and limping, was found abandoned in the backyard of an empty house. We took her to our veterinarian who said she had probably been hit by a car and had broken her ankle which did not heal properly. Aubrey gave birth to five adorable kittens. We did physical therapy on her which helped her walk better.

About 7 weeks later we rescued 5 tiny 3-week-old kittens born under a metal storage container at a business. Employees, out for a walk, discovered them as one of the kittens was screaming so loudly it attracted their attention. From their condition we could tell they had been without their mother for some time.

Here’s the miracle! We took the kittens to our sanctuary and introduced them to Aubrey. She immediately took to them, adopted them as her own, and provided the nutrients and nurturing they needed to grow healthy and strong. All were subsequently adopted.

We believe all animals have value and deserve a second chance. We both need and greatly appreciate your support.

Thank you for the generous donation from Northern Star Solutions which allowed us to purchase a supply cabinet for our multi-purpose room in our cat sanctuary.

This is a place where sick animals come to recover before heading to either foster care or the cat sanctuary.

How disturbing it is for us to hear again that someone is out there killing cats. We rescue strays and see how horrible they are treated in this society. We have been preaching for years that you need to keep your cat inside. They do very well as inside animals. As owners you need to keep your animal safe. If you insist on letting your cat outside, then get a cat fencing or something else that will contain your animal so they can roam only your yard. Stop this cruelty to the cats.

Here is an unexpected day…..You would think our talents are limited to stray and abandoned dogs and cats but Surprise! We never know what a day brings. If we are able to, we help the occasional wildlife get out of trouble.

A volunteer called us in distress for help. She was driving down the street when traffic stopped on both sides to let a mother and her ducklings cross the street. Unfortunately, once the ducklings crossed over to the other side they fell through the grill on the street drain.

The volunteer was frantic because everyone she reached out for help was busy. She knew if it started to rain the ducklings would be in trouble.

We arrived at the scene, removed the ducklings and brought them to an agency that would care for them.

Our passion is with the strays and abandoned animals in our community. They cannot speak for themselves so we are here to speak for them. We are here to protect them and provide a better life for them regardless of their temperament or needs. Did you know that when we rescue these animals they stay in our care until they get adopted and, if not, they have a safe place to live out their natural life.

Aubrey was abandoned at an empty house, pregnant and with a broken ankle that had not healed properly. Her ankle did not hinder her motherly duties, we did physical therapy on her ankle which helped her to walk better, and all was well. Here’s the miracle! She not only had her 5 kittens but 7 weeks later she adopted 5 – 3 week old rescued kittens that we found living under a storage container at a business as her own. She provided the nutrients and the nurturing they needed to grow healthy and strong.

This little one was rescued from a dumpster behind a strip mall. He was clinging to life when he was found. It is a miracle that he is alive and as you can see is doing well.
