💖URGENTLY need commitment by 9/17/25 @ 5pm! 💖

Stunning Howie (A895625) is a 3-year-old male cream-and-white German Shepherd mix who’s ready to leave his rough past behind and find his forever home! When he first arrived at the shelter two months ago, Howie was unsure and nervous, but thanks to patient care and consistency, he’s blossomed with both people and dogs! Once uncomfortable around other pups, he’s now enjoying playgroups with the right canine pals—such an incredible transformation! From his short stay in foster care, we’ve learned that Howie is affectionate, loves car rides, and is friendly with people. He’s also a goofy work-in-progress—he can bark a lot, jump up on people, chew things he shouldn’t, and he’s quite the escape artist (doors, windows, or yard—he’ll try them all!). Because of this, Howie needs a savvy person who can give him structure, training, and a secure environment. Due to his prey drive, Howie cannot live with cats or small animals (he has chased and injured a cat). With appropriate guidance, Howie will be an affectionate, loyal, and fun-loving companion ready to start his happily-ever-after! See him in action in the videos below:

Bubbly Benson (A894665) has been waiting since June for his shot at a new life! This 3-year-old male black and tan German Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix is a spirited, playful boy with a zest for life. In his kennel, Benson can get a little amped and jumpy, but once out, he’s all about fun—whether that’s chasing toys or splashing around in the pool! Benson is a strong puller on leash and still polishing up his manners (he’s already learning “sit”), so he’ll thrive with a confident, structured home that can guide his enthusiasm. He’s participated in shelter playgroups and does best with female dogs. Due to his high prey drive, he’ll need a home without small critters and with a strong handler to help him succeed. Upbeat Uno (A899709) is a 2-year-old white pittie mix with the most adorable black spot by his eye—and he’s hoping for a hero to notice him! This big, beefy boy was brought in by an animal services officer and quickly let us know that shelter life just isn’t for him. In his kennel, Uno shows stress with barking, jumping, and whining, but once volunteers step in to help burn off his abundant energy, his true personality shines through. They describe him as a total love bug with people who soaks up affection and delights in playtime with toys! Uno doesn’t participate in shelter playgroups, and he has shown he’s not a fan of other male dogs. What he is a fan of is people, especially those willing to shower him with love (and toys!) and give him the stability and structure he craves. Uno would thrive as the one and only spoiled pup in a home where he can finally relax, stretch out, and enjoy life beyond the shelter walls. 9/9 TRANSFER RESCUE GRP

Handsome Homer (A895882) is a 2-year-old tricolor beagle/pittie mix who is beyond ready to leave kennel life behind! This striking boy, with his unique markings and floppy, adorable ears, has been overlooked since he arrived back in June. Like many hound mixes, Homer can be vocal, and shelter stress has him getting over-excited and barking when he sees other dogs. With his human pals, Homer shines, he’s active, attentive, and eager to please. He already knows “sit,” is learning to take treats gently, and is always ready for adventure. In playgroups, Homer has shown he’s more of a ladies’ man, preferring the company of female dogs. While the noisy, crowded shelter is wearing him down, his true self is that of a sweet, fun-loving young pup who wants nothing more than a family of his own. Meet Homer – The Beagle Mix with a Big Heart and Even Bigger Opinions !

Don’t be fooled by his kennel karaoke — Homer’s not yelling at you, he’s serenading you with his very own version of “Pick Me, Pick Me !” (Bonus: it’s beagle-approved.)

This medium-sized bundle of energy is the total package: he’s got fetch skills, zoomies, and enough love to make your lap his permanent address — after he’s finished his daily cardio, of course.

Homer’s dream day? Morning jogs, mid-day squeaky toy marathons, evening snuggles, and a squirrel-free backyard (yep, he’s got some prey drive — feline friends need not apply).

He can get a little chatty on leash when other dogs are around, but with consistent training and exercise, he’s on his way to being a model walking buddy. If you’re looking for a funny, affectionate, slightly dramatic goofball to be your adventure sidekick and cuddle companion — Homer’s your guy.
