Here are some top tips to make sure both you and your dog have a safe and fun adventure:

Know the Trail Rules: Always check if the trail is dog-friendly and if leashes are required. Respect local wildlife and fellow hikers.

Pack the Essentials: Bring water, a collapsible bowl, doggie waste bags, a first-aid kit, and some treats for energy.

Keep Your Dog Leashed: This helps protect wildlife and ensures your dog doesn’t get lost or injured. Even well-behaved dogs can get excited and chase after something.

Can Cats and Dogs Eat Ice Cream? 🐾

As much as we love to treat our furry friends to all kinds of goodies, it's important to know what's safe for them. When it comes to ice cream, here's what you need to know:

Dogs: While a small amount of plain vanilla ice cream is generally safe, many dogs are lactose intolerant, which can lead to tummy troubles. Stick to dog-friendly ice cream or frozen treats made specifically for them!

Cats: Cats are also often lactose intolerant. Regular ice cream isn't a good idea for them. There are special cat-friendly frozen treats you can offer instead.

Always consult your vet before introducing new treats to your pet's diet.

Rattlesnakes can be a serious threat to your dog during outdoor adventures. To help keep your dog safe, we want to inform you about a valuable class being offered at a local animal hospital.

Rattlesnake Aversion Training will be held at Bayside Animal Hospital, led by the experts from Snakeout. This training is crucial for protecting your dog in areas where rattlesnake encounters are possible. By teaching dogs to avoid these dangerous reptiles, you can greatly reduce the risk of bites.
