The CAVMRC is a medical reserve corps unit operating as a unit in the California Emergency Medical Services Authority. It is comprised of veterinarians and veterinary staff members and serves to provide emergency veterinary services and care during local or statewide emergencies and disasters.

This Wednesday is the last chance to register for the California Veterinary Medical Reserve Corps’ (CAVMRC) online disaster response training! Taking place on Sunday, November 3, this low-cost, interactive course offers 7 CEUs on emergency/critical care topics that can benefit you in everyday practice as well as during a disaster response.

The California Veterinary Medical Reserve Corps (CAVMRC) continues to assist UC Davis’ California Veterinary Emergency Team - CVET in caring for animals affected by the Park Fire. Volunteers are currently stationed in Oroville, California treating companion animals, horses, and livestock.
