Haven Dog Rescue Our goal with every dog is to find the perfect family match so that they are lovingly cared for the rest of their lives.

Please consider making a donation today to assist our efforts and save more dogs in the greater Sacramento area! We typically pull our dogs from local shelters that are labeled un-adoptable. We work on their issues and prepare them for entering a regular home life. Sometimes its a short process and sometimes it take several months or even longer. We are 501c3 non profit, so donations are tax deduc

tible. We have an adoption screening process and we perform home checks for all families wishing to take our dogs. There is also an adoption fee which helps us pay for vet, grooming, and food bills for our dogs. All our staff are volunteers and are motivated solely by the love they have for our dogs and the determination they have to finding them a great forever home. 😍🐾 Meet Teddy - a lovable 15-pound bundle of joy who's looking for his forever home. He’s crate trained, super sweet, and very loyal. Currently, he's being fostered with five other dogs, and he gets along wonderfully with them all! Teddy has recently discovered the joy of his reflection in the mirror and we can't help but smile at his little discoveries. 😊 Big thanks to The Smiling Dog for supporting our rescue efforts and helping our littles out!

She's a beautiful, tricolor, mix who is around 12 lbs and 8 years old. She is very loving and attaches herself to a single person, although she'll tolerate other people in the home. She has been in a home with young kids and other dogs, but she does get a little snippy when another dog comes around her "person". She's getting better at house training, but still needs reminders throughout the day to go outside to potty. Spayed and has all her vaccinations!

They are looking for a home that doesn't have any stairs, they have issues with their knees (luxating patellas)😕 But they are lovely ladies who love to play and will bring joy to your heart! Diego came to us with a broken pelvis that was healing and a front leg that needed to be amputated. Thanks to the Bradshaw Animal Shelter for providing the medical treatments, we were able to continue his recovery in a warm, loving environment! Diego is available for adoption now!
