As it so happened that on the 28th of August I went in for a “routine “ procedure, which resulted in a 6 day hospital stay😔 I am getting back to normal (my normal) and I will be taking appointments for adoptions ❤️ Please call if you would like to meet out beautiful fur babies 🐾 And congratulations to Dart and Muse on your adoptions I am sure you are being spoiled rotten ❤️🐾

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of one our furbabies. Oz was a very healthy happy and loveable kitten who was absolutely adorable, but with every surgery there is risk of underlying conditions . (Oz did not come out of the anesthesia from his surgery. ) You filled our hearts with love 💗 RIP Oz 🙏💙 I an sure going to miss your beautiful elegant eyes 🐾🌈

UPDATE‼️When we started the rescue 3 years ago it was our mission to be the voice of these furbabies and to find them all loving furever homes 🐾 They have never given up on me and I have chosen not to give up on them ❤️ We may struggle but we won’t fail. I have adjusted my sleep schedule to care for the cats myself to save money. With all of your continued support we will continue to keep the doors open🙏 Thank you to everyone who has given me time to think this through and I’m sorry if I haven’t responded to messages. Today is a new day and our mission will remain focused on caring for the ones with no voice 😻 We have come to far to give up 🐾

Walls 4 Paws is at risk of extinction 😥 We are currently making the decision if we are going to continue to stay open. I am putting a financial strain on my personal finances trying to keep the rescue open , and I can’t keep doing it. Short of a miracle in July the decision will be made by August. I personally want to thank everyone for EVERYTHING they have done to keep us going the last 3 years and it is a very hard decision for me to make. We are currently paying over $800 out of pocket a month and still have vetting and medication to arrange for 13 cats. Please understand this is a hard decision and I will try everything before shutting my doors, but I’m about out of options 🐾❤️😥

So sorry for no post lately, been pretty busy around here 🐾 we still have several kittens available for adoption as well as our older cats. Do you like cats ?? Are you a go getter that is self motivated ?? Do you have an hour a day to spare ??? Walls 4 Paws is looking for someone to come to the rescue to maintain fresh water bowls plenty of food and litter boxes emptied. This task takes approximately 1 hour a day and we are paying $100 a week. This is an everyday responsibility and must be done by a reliable person. If you are this person or know of anyone looking to make some extra spending money please have them reach out 217-841-7864 or pm me . (Preferably done every morning between 7 and 12 ) The perks aren’t to bad either cuddling these beauties) 😻

Heads up drivers! Tonight, IDOT is closing the I-57 SB to I-74 WB ramp to traffic for approximately 3 weeks. The official detour to I-74 WB from I-57 SB will be to I-72 WB and north on IL-47 into Mahomet. This will likely bring at least some more vehicle and interstate traffic into Mahomet along IL-47. Be aware!
