Huey is another Mega E pup we would like to help live a great life… Lowe, our current forever foster is doing great. This guy will need a barium X-ray to rule out PRAA, which can be operable.. or Megaesophagus which is not. Maybe a forever foster placement so please, serious inquiries only as he is near Philadelphia and we have to make arrangements 🐾 Thank you!!

Was a very busy weekend!! Bailey, also made his way to the rescue. He was originally adopted from us almost 3 years ago.
His previous owner was moving and could not take him. He is currently in foster, and getting some much needed training and socialization. He is a sweet boy, his eyes are gorgeous.
He is neutured, up to date on all shots and preventatives.
He will be available in a few weeks, maybe a little longer, we will see how his training goes.

IT’S $5 FRIDAY!! Just $5 can do so much for our rescue.. look at our Megaesophagus girl Lowe living her best life with her brother Bodine. Because of your donations, she’s getting the food, vetting and quality care that she needs ❤️🐾
Slowly but surely, we are learning what works for Lowe so she can live her best life.. NO water, dogfood meatballs and Knox Blox seem to be doing the trick 💕. Wrangling everyone in before the next storm…

Today was recheck for sweet Bella after her antibiotics for the E-Coli infection.
Unfortunately, it was not the news we were hoping for. Her kidney levels are not improving, we did another urine culture to see if the infection is gone. Our vets have done all they can do here, if her infection is cleared up, the next stop will be Pittsburgh or Ohio State.
She still does not concentrate her urine at all.
We are currently at about $2000 in testing, special food ($125) a bag. With still no answers. I have no idea what more testing is going to run. I can say that we are just about out of funds. Linda Kronstein Fink bless her soul, raised money towards the 9 puppies that will be coming. That will be another expensive surgery on the one male pup.
We have 2 neuters for older dogs coming up as well. Bella cannot be spayed at this time, vet does not recommend with her kidneys not functioning correctly.
Surrender calls are coming in daily, 3 or 4 on some days. Enough, that I just cannot even bring myself to answer them right away. We have no room, no more ability to take in any other dogs at this time. The ones in our care right now are my top priority. I've heard every excuse this week for rehoming. A dog is a lifetime commitment, not something you just toss away when it suits you. Take responsibility for the dog that you adopted, bought, found, however you got it. It's your responsibility, not any rescues responsibility. We are all tired, all over our capacity. And some, are just out of any funds to help. Those who think it's easy to turn dogs away, it's not. It takes it toll mentally and physically.
Sweet Bella enjoying her play time.
