Last week Mark Palmer organized a scavenger hunt with youth. These youth collected #358 lbs of non perishable food for our pantry.
What an amazing and creative idea for a food drive. Thank you Jim and the youth that gathered and donated these desperately needed items.
Our community is blessed by these amazing individuals.
Thank you 😊

Good morning to my Graham County community I just wanted to clarify the questions that I have been getting asked and messages sent to me which I sincerely appreciate about the statement from a young lady who is concerned about food pantry food that I gather is on Safford on blast I think it’s important for everyone to know that at our neighbors farm and pantry every item that comes into our pantry whether it is purchased donated or food rescue is personally handled dated inspected to make sure it meets USDA requirements . I think it’s also important to know that our neighbors farm and Pantry supports quite a few smaller farms and an animal rescue with all of their waste foods whether it be canned goods or fresh fruits, vegetables, or any other donated items something that I think is important to know that any fruits vegetables, any other items that come through we personally look at every item our paid employees and also our volunteers are well Instructed on how to look for items that are not to be served to the general public and do not meet USDA regulations. We sincerely appreciate every donation we receive, we are proud to have served over 10,000 neighbors so far this year. If this young lady would love to come and volunteer at ONFP we would love to share the experience of how we inspect every item that comes into our pantry, we always love the opportunity to have volunteers join in while giving back to their community.
